Dry hydrogen sulfide baths indications. The benefits and harms of hydrogen sulfide water, its properties and features. Balneotherapeutic mud resort "Usolye" is located in the Irkutsk region

“Going to the waters” was considered by our ancestors to be the most reliable remedy, which remained the only and last resort in cases where simply medicines were powerless.

The concept of the method and its types

What waters did our ancestors go to? To Mineral. The most useful of them are considered to be Matsestinsky, which are located in Sochi. But there are mineral springs in many countries: the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, the USA. In Russia, these are Pyatigorsk and Sernovodsk, Ust-Kachka... What does it smell like near mineral springs? Gray. The therapeutic effect is manifested due to the presence of hydrogen sulfide in such water.

During one visit to such a bath, 70 mg of hydrogen sulfide enters the human body. These baths have been and remain therapeutic at all times. Only now we can no longer travel far: all methods are used everywhere, in any decent city. The sources are all different and there are also many methods. Hydrogen sulfide solution can be:

  • Weak,
  • Average,
  • Strong,
  • Particularly strong.

What is the solution, what is the method.

Advantages and disadvantages

Advantages

How is the therapeutic effect achieved after taking a hydrogen sulfide bath?

  • Free sulfur significantly reduces oxidative processes in tissues. It is a natural antioxidant,
  • It promotes the synthesis of amino acids,
  • Activates the secretion of sebaceous and sweat glands,
  • Accelerates protein synthesis in blood plasma,
  • Inactivates, “freezes” toxins in the liver,
  • Promotes the accumulation of biologically active substances in the skin and subcutaneous tissues,
  • Promotes skin hyperemia, i.e. increases blood circulation in capillaries and vessels, saturating tissues with oxygen,
  • It affects conductive nerves and nerve endings, first increasing their activity, then dulling it, which allows you to get rid of pain.

Flaws

  • Not all diseases can be treated with hydrogen sulfide baths. If this rule is violated, the disease can be provoked,
  • Hydrogen sulfide is a poisonous gas, extremely poisonous. If you carry out the procedure at home, you need to prepare it carefully in order to avoid unpleasant consequences. The room must have good ventilation. Do not forget that hydrogen sulfide is a poisonous gas.

Indications for testing

The list of diseases for which such a procedure is permissible is quite long. Having named the main diseases, we can also assume secondary ones related to them. What organs and systems are affected by taking a hydrogen sulfide bath:

  • Cardiovascular,
  • Peripheral and central nervous system,
  • Musculoskeletal system,
  • Vascular diseases
  • Endocrine system,
  • Poisonings,
  • Skin diseases
  • Gynecological diseases.

The main properties of the procedure: regenerating, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory. Properties that “give a jolt” to the body, remove toxins from it, cleanse it, and nourish it at the same time. Metabolism is restored, necessary, vitally important substances are synthesized important elements- amino acids, proteins, etc. Each cell is saturated with oxygen. This procedure can be compared to resuscitation, to the discovery of a second wind.

  • Women are prescribed hydrogen sulfide baths in the presence of tubal infertility, menstruation disorders, inflammatory diseases appendages,
  • For men - for inflammatory urological diseases,
  • For children for the treatment of rheumatism and skin diseases,
  • During pregnancy, it is also permissible to take hydrogen sulfide baths. This is acceptable at any time. But there are several “buts”. Hydrogen sulfide is a toxic element and a pregnant woman can only take a bath if she strictly adheres to all necessary conditions: low solution saturation, short bath duration. If this natural spring, then it must indicate whether it is acceptable for pregnant women. If not, then you will have to look for another one. World medicine has recognized the benefits of hydrogen sulfide baths for pregnant women,
  • In dermatology. This procedure begins with touching the skin. And it has an incredibly beneficial effect on the skin. Here the regenerating properties of the bath are directly manifested. In addition, they are anti-inflammatory and anti-aging. The process affects cellular level, the necessary chemical reactions. The method has always been used in dermatology. Indications include other ailments.

Contraindications

Hydrogen sulfide baths is a powerful procedure, and it has a number of serious contraindications:

  • Tuberculosis,
  • Cerebrovascular diseases,
  • Twice moved,
  • Persistent hypotension
  • Persistent bleeding
  • Chronic kidney and urinary tract diseases,
  • Chronic diseases of the liver and pancreas during exacerbation.

If there are such contraindications, then you cannot do without consulting a doctor. The main thing is to do no harm!

Preparing for a hydrogen sulfide bath

It doesn’t matter whether you carry out the procedure at home, in a sanatorium, or in a physical therapy room. There are several rules that you need to remember anywhere:

  • You should not take a bath hungry or full: a “golden mean” is necessary. It is better to take a bath 1.5 - 2 hours after eating,
  • Prepare a clean change of linen and a clean, dry towel,
  • Before the procedure, you should rest well, even if a little,
  • Before taking a bath, wash thoroughly with detergents, so that the skin is fully able to absorb everything useful, so that there are no barriers to this,
  • A pregnant woman should not go alone for such treatment; there should be a person nearby who will help when entering and exiting the bath.

How is the procedure performed?

Algorithm for conducting a hydrogen sulfide bath for different categories people are not much different. Carrying out such a procedure for pregnant women and children is significantly different from others: they must be accompanied, the duration of the procedure in this category is less than that of others, and the concentration of the solution is less.

If the bath is being prepared artificially, then it is prepared immediately before it is carried out: all chemical compounds are dissolved in water in strict sequence.

It is also important to monitor the temperature.

  • The procedure lasts on average 10 - 12 minutes.
  • The duration of the procedure for small children is 5 - 8 - 10 minutes. It depends on age. The bath temperature for children is slightly higher than for adults. This is due to the fact that all the child’s systems are still developing and are imperfect.

After taking a bath, rest for 30-40 minutes. You need to lie down and relax completely, then the treatment will be more effective. During the rest period, any medicine penetrates deeper faster.

Hydrogen sulfide baths are not taken daily. There should be 10 - 15 of them in total, it depends on the purpose. But there must be a break between each procedure.

The scheme is as follows: 1 day bath - 1 day break, or 2 days bath - 1 day break.

Consequences and possible complications

After the procedure, the skin becomes very red as blood flow increases. There may be discomfort: , . More often this happens when the procedure is carried out incorrectly. In this case, a longer rest of 1.5 hours and consultation with a doctor will be required.

Recovery and care after the procedure

If all rules are followed, no additional measures are required. You just need to try not to overload yourself with work for the entire period of taking a bath, rest and relax more. It is worth paying attention to the diet: it should be truly healthy - vegetables, fruits, cereals, dairy products, etc.

Don't forget about honey! And keep an eye on your cleanliness (not only of your body, but also of your thoughts).

We remember what hydrogen sulfide is from school chemistry. It is difficult to forget this substance if you have inhaled its smell at least once. It's a gas, and it smells disgusting - like a rotten egg. But that's not all: hydrogen sulfide is toxic! IN high concentrations If inhaled, the gas can cause dizziness, nausea, convulsions, coma and even death. Normally, our cells produce a small amount of this gas, so the body is very familiar with it and uses it for medicinal purposes. An example of this is hydrogen sulfide baths. Indications and contraindications for their use should definitely be carefully studied before deciding on such therapy. This is exactly what we will do today.

What are hydrogen sulfide baths

When we talk about hydrogen sulfide baths, we don’t mean any kind of gas chamber, but a therapeutic method that is based on the use of enriched “rotten” gas mineral waters. At the same time, the maximum benefit from such therapy is obtained by individually selecting the concentration of gas in water. The therapeutic effect is determined not only by the presence of hydrogen sulfide in water, but also by its temperature, pressure, and mechanical action.

Hydrogen sulfides in medicinal baths can form solutions of different strengths:

  • weakly sulfide, where the concentration of hydrogen sulfide reaches a maximum of 50 milligrams per liter;
  • medium sulfide with a concentration of 50 to 100 milligrams per liter;
  • strongly sulfide, in which each liter can contain up to 250 milligrams of hydrogen sulfide;
  • very strong - with a concentration of 250 milligrams of hydrogen sulfide per liter of water.

Indications for such hydrotherapy depend on the diagnosis and severity of the patient’s disease. This therapy is offered in a sanatorium-resort setting.

The benefits of hydrogen sulfide baths

Hydrogen sulfide aquatherapy can be prescribed for a number of diseases. Penetrating through skin tissue, hydrogen sulfide enters the blood, brain fluid, and stimulates multiple nerve endings. As a response to such a stimulus, signals are received from the nerve centers that change activity functional systems and organs of the body. Along with this, there is an improvement in the functional state of the peripheral and central nervous systems.

Under the influence of hydrogen sulfide in the skin, the formation of biologically active substances (histamine, acetylcholine, heparin) occurs, causing dilation of blood vessels and capillaries, thinning the blood, rushing it to the skin and tissues, increasing blood flow, decreasing pulse, and lowering blood pressure. The complex has a training effect on the cardiovascular system. When taking hydrogen sulfide baths, metabolic processes in muscles and joints improve, pain and inflammation decrease. Hydrogen sulfide has a positive effect on carbohydrate metabolism, reduces the level of bad cholesterol in the blood, and stimulates the function of endocrine system.

Hydrogen sulfide baths: indications and contraindications

Who is prescribed hydrogen sulfide aquatherapy? First of all, people suffering from:

  • hypertension;
  • ischemia;
  • joint diseases;
  • diseases of the spine;
  • disorders of the nervous system;
  • skin problems;
  • diabetes mellitus;
  • diseases of the genitourinary system.

However, this treatment has contraindications:

  • ischemia with frequent attacks of angina;
  • heart defects;
  • arrhythmia;
  • renal failure;
  • stomach and duodenal ulcers;
  • mental disorders;
  • anemia;
  • tumor processes.

Before prescribing hydrogen sulfide therapy, the patient must undergo a comprehensive examination to identify indications and contraindications.

For children

Is this therapy prescribed for children? Yes, there are indications, but you should be careful. Since all systems of a child’s body still work differently from those of adults, it is difficult to predict the effect of hydrogen sulfide baths on children’s health. However, as an auxiliary physical treatment, they can be prescribed for children with cerebral palsy, with birth injuries and for some other diseases.

In gynecology

IN women Health Hydrogen sulfide can also make a significant contribution. Indications for hydrogen sulfide sources are available in patients with:

  • inflammation of the organs of the reproductive system (parametritis, endometritis, colpitis, erosion, etc.);
  • adhesive processes in pipes;
  • infertility;
  • cycle disruption;
  • climacteric syndrome.
  • pregnancy;
  • post-abortion and post-operative periods (up to six months);
  • endometriosis.

Hydrogen sulfide water is prescribed to patients in the form of baths and irrigations.

How to take hydrogen sulfide baths

A hydrogen sulfide bath is a treatment, not a hygienic procedure, and therefore there are some rules for taking it:

  • should be avoided before the procedure physical activity and long walks;
  • You should not go for the procedure on an empty stomach or immediately after eating;
  • if you have symptoms of acute respiratory infections, headaches and other ailments, you should refuse baths;
  • Immediately after the procedure, it is recommended to lie down in the rest room for 10-30 minutes.

You should sit quietly in the bath, without causing unnecessary body movements to release gas from the water. You should only dive into the water up to your chest - no deeper!

The effectiveness of treatment is noticeable with a course approach.

Hydrogen sulfide baths at home

Is it possible to set up a hydrogen sulfide clinic without leaving your home? Yes, if you buy hydrogen sulfide salt at the pharmacy. However, such self-medication is very dangerous: do not forget about the toxicity of hydrogen sulfide! Only a doctor should prescribe it, and he also calculates the dosage of salt. But it’s better to do the wiser thing - go to a specialized sanatorium: both rest and health are guaranteed!

Hydrogen sulfide baths in Abkhazia, Pyatigorsk, Matsesta

The best hydrogen sulfide clinics are located in areas of natural hydrogen sulfide springs. The closest ones to us are Abkhazian, Pyatigorsk and at the Matsesta resort. The Matsesta resort is especially popular. There are unique springs where, in addition to hydrogen sulfide, the water is enriched with iodine, fluorine, bromine, copper, gold and many other benefits. At the same time, it is not at all necessary to go to this balneological resort on a voucher. The main thing is to take a sanatorium-resort card issued at your place of residence, and appointments can be made directly at the department, where you can come from a hotel or boarding house, for example, without living in the sanatorium itself.

Harm

Are hydrogen sulfide baths harmful? Undoubtedly, if there are contraindications to such therapy. Harm may include aggravation of the condition due to hypotension or angina pectoris, kidney and liver dysfunction. After baths, weakness, dizziness, and nausea may occur. Even if you experience these symptoms in the absence of contraindications to treatment, it is worth discussing the situation with your doctor; perhaps everything will improve if the concentration of the active substance in the water decreases.

Most effective method balneotherapy are hydrogen sulfide baths. Indications for their use are very diverse. Hydrogen sulfide (or sulfide) baths are widely used in the complex therapy of patients who suffer from various ailments.

The effect of this treatment procedure on the patient’s body is ensured due to several factors. Firstly, they have a beneficial effect on the patient hydrostatic pressure and water temperature. Secondly, hydrogen sulfide penetrates the skin and blood. This valuable irritating effect on the endings allows you to maximize the work of all organs and systems of the human body.

Taking hydrogen sulfide baths can enhance coronary blood circulation and reduce arterial pressure, improve the peripheral resistance of the heart muscle and the state of the nervous system. Under the influence of hydrogen sulfide baths, biologically active elements are formed that help expand small capillaries and improve metabolic processes in the body. At the same time, blood flow accelerates and foci of inflammatory processes decrease, which relieves pain and increases the motor functioning of the joints.

Hydrogen sulfide baths, the indications for use of which are various diseases of both the central and peripheral nervous systems, are also prescribed in the presence of inflammatory processes in the musculoskeletal system, for pathologies of the skin and in the treatment of ailments of a urological and gynecological nature. These procedures are recommended for hypertension and diabetes. Taking sulfide baths is effective for getting rid of diabetes, various diseases of the joints and spine.

For varicose veins and post-thrombophlebitic conditions, hydrogen sulfide baths are also recommended. Indications for their use also apply to radiation sickness. Often these treatment procedures serve to normalize protein, mineral and fat metabolism. Hydrogen sulfide baths, the indications for which are pathologies of the endocrine system, help strengthen the function of the thyroid gland.

When prescribing medical procedures, it is necessary to take into account that hydrogen sulfide baths have contraindications. They are not recommended for arrhythmia and coronary artery disease, which is accompanied by angina attacks. Baths containing hydrogen sulfide are not prescribed to patients suffering from active rheumatism and heart disease. The list of contraindications includes liver and kidney diseases, cancer and mental pathologies. Hydrogen sulfide baths are not prescribed in the presence of duodenal and gastric ulcers, tuberculosis, hypotension, and respiratory diseases. The use of these procedures is prohibited for severe hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, as well as for patients suffering from bronchial asthma.

Medicinal waters with a low content of free hydrogen sulfide are used for internal consumption. They are able to reduce gastric secretion and produce a choleretic and laxative effect. Ingestion of low-sulfide waters is indicated for liver damage. They are also effective in case of poisoning of the body with heavy metals. Medicinal waters with low hydrogen sulfide content act as antioxidants. They also produce a choleretic and diuretic effect on the patient’s body.

Hydrogen sulfide (sulfide) baths have been actively used in balneotherapy for decades. They are used to treat the nervous, musculoskeletal and cardiovascular systems, as well as a number of gynecological, urological and skin diseases.

Hydrogen sulfide springs are found everywhere on our planet, but they are most often used for medicinal purposes in Russia. For example, one of the widely known deposits of hydrogen sulfide is Matsesta, a resort in the vicinity of Sochi.

The effect of exposure to waters of this type is called the Matsesta reaction in the specialized literature.

However, you can undergo treatment with hydrogen sulfide baths not only in the Matsesta sanatorium, but also in many other health resorts, salons and even at home, since today both natural and artificial medicinal baths are used.

Features of treatment with hydrogen sulfide baths

Treatment with hydrogen sulfide baths is as follows: free ions of hydrogen sulfide (after all, as is known, it is a gas) penetrate through the respiratory tract, mucous membranes and pores of the skin and enter the bloodstream, circulate through the blood, are oxidized there and are excreted from the body in a natural way. An important role is also played by external factors- water temperature, hydrostatic pressure, concentration of a substance in water.

There are medicinal waters of weak (total hydrogen sulfide content 10-50 mg/l), medium (50-100 mg/l), strong (100-250 mg/l) and very strong (more than 250 mg/l) concentrations.

Note! Only a qualified doctor has the right to prescribe the concentration of a substance for a bath. An improperly prepared hydrogen sulfide bath will not only not be beneficial, but can also cause significant harm to the body.

Hydrogen sulfide baths have next influence on the body:

  • stabilize blood circulation, help reduce blood pressure;
  • activate defenses, tone and strengthen the immune system;
  • stimulate skin regeneration, promote healing of skin lesions;
  • relieve inflammatory processes;
  • improve carbohydrate metabolism, reduce cholesterol in the blood;
  • normalize the functions of the autonomic and central nervous systems, increase the neurotrophic functions of the skeletal system, accelerate metabolic and oxidative processes.

And not so long ago, Chinese scientists conducted research in which it turned out that hydrogen sulfide slows down the aging process by activating “ youth hormone» sirtuin. That is why these procedures (in the absence of contraindications, of course) are very useful for those who care about their beauty.

Indications for use

Matsesta baths have a wide range of healing agents; with their help, many diseases are treated, namely:

  • diseases of the cardiovascular system (atherosclerosis of the heart vessels, heart disease, hypertension stages I and II-A);
  • diseases of the nervous system (brain and spinal cord injuries, atherosclerosis);
  • skin diseases (chronic and seborrheic eczema, dermatoses, psoriasis);
  • diseases of the musculoskeletal system (osteochondrosis, polyarthritis);
  • urological diseases (vesiculitis, prostatitis);
  • gynecological diseases (infertility, menstrual irregularities);
  • endocrine diseases (decreased thyroid function, diabetes).

Contraindications

But as you know, any indication has its contraindication, and hydrogen sulfide baths are no exception. In what cases is it categorically not recommended to carry out these procedures?

The use of sulfide baths is excluded when:

  • pulmonary tuberculosis;
  • malignant tumors;
  • heart disease with decompensation;
  • bleeding;
  • viral and inflammatory diseases, elevated body temperature;
  • stable hypotension (low blood pressure);
  • diseases of the gastrointestinal tract in the stage of exacerbation or remission;
  • varicose veins, hemorrhoids;
  • severe form of diabetes mellitus;
  • pregnancy and lactation;
  • liver and kidney diseases;
  • weeping dermatitis, fungal skin lesions.

It is important! Sulfide baths can only be used after a complete thorough examination of the body and on the recommendation of a qualified doctor. Even if you feel completely healthy person, it’s not worth the risk - it can cause serious harm to the body, because often we don’t even suspect that we have certain diseases.

The course of treatment is usually 12-15 sessions, which are carried out either every other day or two days in a row, and on the third they take a break. The procedure is carried out in a special room with supply and exhaust ventilation. The water temperature is 35-37 °C, the duration of the procedure is about 8-12 minutes.

During the procedure, a pronounced reaction is observed: the skin swells, turns red, pores open, and the secretion of the sebaceous glands increases. In parts of the body that come into contact with water, there is a feeling of slight burning, tide and warmth. You shouldn’t be afraid of this - this is a completely natural reaction of hydrogen sulfide in the body.

Remember! You should not take baths immediately after eating or on an empty stomach, or after significant physical activity (for example, after going to the gym or jogging), after which you should wait at least 2 hours.

In order to maximize the benefits of baths, it is not recommended to overeat, drink alcohol, smoke or overexert yourself during the entire course of treatment.

Hydrogen sulfide is a chemical compound that is used in small concentrations to treat patients with diseases internal organs. The substance is a colorless gas with an odor rotten eggs. In large concentrations in the air, the substance is deadly to humans. A single inhalation of its high concentrations is fatal. In medicine, the substance is used for medicinal baths and oral administration as part of mineral waters. The benefits and harms of hydrogen sulfide baths are explained by their chemical composition.

The role of hydrogen sulfide in the human body

Hydrogen sulfide is normally found in the human body. It is a natural antispasmodic, relaxes smooth muscles and the walls of blood vessels. The substance affects the activity of the nervous system and helps improve memory.

Hydrogen sulfide prevents the development of cardiovascular diseases. It expands small blood vessels and capillaries, improves intracellular metabolism, and has anti-inflammatory properties. In men, hydrogen sulfide improves erection.

In case of severe cardiac dysfunction (myocardial infarction), hydrogen sulfide deficiency is dangerous due to the following conditions:

  • intracellular oxidation;
  • slowing down blood flow into the vessel;
  • necrosis of the heart muscle;
  • An increased concentration of endogenous hydrogen sulfide contributes to the development of type 1 diabetes mellitus (insulin-dependent), the compound kills pancreatic cells and reduces the level of insulin production.

Beneficial properties of hydrogen sulfide treatment

Water with hydrogen sulfide is used not only for treatment, but also for restoring the body, strengthening defenses, and preventing diseases.

In what cases are hydrogen sulfide baths prescribed:

  • gynecology – adnexitis, cervical erosion, inflammation of the cervical canal;
  • andrology – prostatitis, orchitis, epididymitis;
  • dermatology – seborrhea, eczema, psoriasis, neurodermatitis;
  • rheumatology – arthritis, rheumatism;
  • orthopedics – radiculitis;
  • neurology – polyneuritis, plexitis (inflammation of large nerve plexuses), damage to nerve trunks, multiple sclerosis, encephalitis;
  • cardiology – coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction (rehabilitation period), circulatory failure, hypertension;
  • endocrinology – disturbance of metabolic and hormonal processes, dysfunction of the endocrine glands;
  • gastroenterology – gastritis, colitis, peptic ulcers.

The use of hydrogen sulfide in bathrooms can be combined with other chemical elements. Such A complex approach is selected individually for each patient.

Contraindications for hydrotherapy with sulfur

Hydrogen sulfide water brings not only benefits, but also harm. Baths, indicated for many chronic pathologies, are contraindicated for patients during exacerbation of diseases, for any acute forms.

Feeding the body hydrogen sulfide is unacceptable in the following conditions:

  • angina attack;
  • acute phase of myocardial infarction;
  • chronic damage to small vessels;
  • tuberculosis;
  • glomerulonephritis (inflammatory disorder of kidney filtration);
  • low blood pressure;
  • postoperative period on the digestive organs;
  • disruption of brain circulation;
  • hyperthyroidism (Graves' disease).

Temporary restrictions for taking hydrogen sulfide baths include elevated body temperature, acute infectious diseases, purulent skin lesions. The procedure is not prescribed for patients with blood diseases or oncology. Baths are not recommended for liver and kidney pathologies.

Methods of treatment with hydrogen sulfide baths

Each patient is prescribed a course of treatment individually, depending on his diagnosis and goals of hydrotherapy. All recommendations must be strictly followed. Most often, two main methods are used - stationary and stepwise. The basic difference between these methods is constant and variable concentration of hydrogen sulfide. The stationary technique involves using the same dosage of the substance during each procedure. The stepwise method is a gradual increase in the dose of hydrogen sulfide during treatment.

Baths are different, depending on their purpose. Some are for general immersion, others are for influencing specific parts of the body (legs, arms). On average, a course of treatment includes 10-12 procedures.

Hydrogen sulfide baths are not prescribed daily. There must be a break between doses of at least a day.

Standard treatment regimens: taking a bath every other day or two days of treatment, then a day of rest.

The procedure has a calming effect on nervous system. Not only does the patient’s physical condition improve, but the psycho-emotional background is also restored, stress and nervous tension are relieved. Baths have an analgesic effect.

Hydrogen sulfide enhances microcirculation and ensures blood flow to the skin, limbs and internal organs. This helps improve tissue regeneration and rapid recovery. The procedure improves the functioning of the glands, reduces sweating and sebum production, and prevents the formation of atherosclerotic plaques.

During the procedure, the patient always experiences intense redness of the skin. This is normal and is due to the flow of blood into small vessels and capillaries. If you take a bath longer than the prescribed time, your skin becomes of blue color. During the procedure, body temperature rises by 1-2 degrees.

An overdose of hydrogen sulfide leads to spasm of the coronary vessels (arteries that supply blood to the heart muscle).

Hydrogen sulfide for oral administration

Water saturated with hydrogen sulfide can be drunk, but only under the supervision of the attending physician - in a hospital, sanatorium, or dispensary.

Reception chemical compound inside shown when chronic processes in the organs of the gastrointestinal tract:

  • biliary dyskinesia;
  • bile stagnation;
  • as an antidote for chronic poisoning with salts of heavy metals.

Hydrogen sulfide is found in water that is extracted from deep wells. IN surface waters its content is low. Hydrogen sulfide is present in those waters where there is a deposit of sulfate ores (iron + sulfur).

The most famous hydrogen sulfide sources:

  • Matsesta (Sochi);
  • Talgi;
  • Hot key;
  • Ust-Kachka;
  • Pyatigorsk;
  • Sernovodsk.

The maximum permissible dose of a substance that can be drunk during the day should not exceed 50 mg/l. Higher concentrations will cause poisoning of the body. The recommended dose is 10-30 mg/l.

The attitude towards hydrogen sulfide water is ambiguous. This is due to the fact that minor violations of the dosage of the substance when used can cause the opposite effect, aggravate the course of the disease, and cause additional complications.

Hydrotherapy with hydrogen sulfide is a good restorative therapy for chronic diseases of internal organs, injuries of the musculoskeletal system, and unstable psychological state.
