Color combination with orange in the interior. Orange color in the interior - combinations and design options What color furniture goes with orange

About the most “delicious” shades, successful combinations and bright accents.

In 2012, orange was the most popular color according to Pantone. Its shade with the romantic name “tangerine tango” has settled not only in bedrooms and living rooms, but also in our hearts.. Why? We tell and show you in a new article.

Psychology of orange

Orange was born out of the love of red and yellow flowers. From one parent he inherited energy and determination, from the other - friendliness and optimism. This color is preferred by emotional and sociable people with a strong creativity. And he is also adored by small children who want to explore the world.

When we look at orange, the brain and stomach begin to work faster and more efficiently. As a bonus, it improves your mood. Now you know what color was sorely missed in the office and kitchen. However, be careful: an excess of orange negatively affects the psyche, causing fatigue and apathy.

Shades

Orange deservedly holds the title of the warmest shade in the color spectrum, because it has no cool tones. The names make your mouth water: peach, apricot, pumpkin, honey.

For interiors, muted tones are often chosen: ocher, terracotta, salmon, rust, bronze. However, daredevils will certainly like bright and slightly aggressive ones: tangerine, amber and coral.

Peculiarities

It’s not for nothing that orange is associated with peaches and apricots – it’s that kind of fruit. But with the right approach, this color turns into a kind wizard, capable of transforming the interior beyond recognition. Here are a couple of recommendations for taming it:

  • Orange objects immediately attract the eye. Great option when you want to highlight one or more objects in the room
  • You should not use orange in a room where the windows face south side. It can be hot and stuffy there even without it - why intensify the sensations?
  • For small spaces, choose light shades of orange. Dark or bright colors on large surfaces will overwhelm and visually make the room even smaller

Orange + pastel colors

Let's start, perhaps, with calm combinations. Orange looks harmonious with neutral shades and most pastel colors. They mute its excessive saturation. Here, for example, are two gentle duets: with pastel mint and delicate cream.

Orange + gray

Orange is an example of a discreet but stylish combination. Remember your superpower gray balance out too bright neighbors and give confidence to quiet ones? White performs a similar function. The combination of orange + + will help create a more graphic and non-trivial interior.

Orange + beige

Gets along well with orange. All variations here are good: from coffee to deep chocolate. One is responsible for dynamics, the other for comfort. A win-win!

Orange + yellow

There are lovers of bright and lush interiors? You will probably like the cheerful combination of orange, which reminds you of sunny summer and carefree childhood. Ideal for a games room.

Orange + blue

The combination of orange and blue is reminiscent of the sea and sun. For example, carrot + turquoise or orange + dark azure. More universal option– terracotta paired with steely shades of blue. It looks simply luxurious, especially if you play with textures. For example, a thick dark velvet sofa of blue color(or navy blue) and a bright woven carpet with a pattern, as in the photo below.

Orange in the kitchen interior

Orange is conducive to friendly conversation and stimulates the appetite - perfect for the kitchen or dining room.

If you are not satisfied with the size of the kitchen or low ceiling, try to visually adjust the space using color. Not enough coziness and intimacy? Use your favorite rich/dark shade of orange as the main one and enjoy the result.

Do you want to visually enlarge the space and add a feeling of airiness? We highlight one wall with color, and cover the rest with white/gray/beige paint - the ceiling will seem higher. And again we enjoy the result.

Suitable for the bedroom pastel shades that do not strain the eyes: peach, apricot, salmon.

Saturated Orange color can be used in decoration - just a few pillows, a painting, a vase or a bedspread are enough to create an atmosphere of joy in the interior. In such a room you will recharge yourself with positive energy and sleep without problems.

The orange color will add a bit of coziness and warmth to any interior, which we miss so much with the arrival of autumn. Start the change with accessories: a pair of bright pillows and a soft blanket. We are sure you will not be disappointed.

Orange is the most warm color in the palette, and it’s not even that it’s not warmer, it’s just that it will always remain that way, regardless of presentation and combination with other colors. It is possible, of course, to make it a little less or hotter by playing with its shades, but if other colors, depending on the design, can be either warm or cold, then orange (as well as blue, by the way) never change their temperature position. Therefore, this interior is perfect for cold climates; in any damp or cool weather, the orange interior will be warm and sunny. But it is worth considering that if the window of the room faces sunny side, and even more so if the climate is hot, then here with orange you need to be careful, otherwise there is a risk of making the interior too hot. Although this will not scare lovers of the tropics.

Of course, this sunny color will fill any interior with a charge of energy and good mood, which is perfect for the kitchen, it will be a great start to the day.

Of course, orange motifs are also good for other rooms, especially if you skillfully combine them with other colors and shades.

Combined with white

The most sunny mood will have an orange and white interior. It is the color that emphasizes the expressiveness and brightness of orange. A lush and festive atmosphere, charged with inexhaustible energy, will always reign here. Ideal for .

It’s also good to use these two colors in the bathroom: the purity and sterility of white will be recharged with the energy of orange and invigorate in the morning.

For a children's room, the use of this union will have a beneficial effect on the child's development. The room will be cozy and fun for the baby, but not too much, since white will still slightly neutralize the intensity of orange, which is very good for children, otherwise it will lead to hyperactivity and inability to concentrate.

Regarding the bedroom, we can say that the orange color will envelop you in a pleasant and soft coziness and a feeling of comfort, invigorate in the morning, but so that you can easily fall asleep at night, it is better to add White color.

In general, everything is based on temperature balance. The orange interior itself is very warm, but adding white color can make it more moderate. And, accordingly, the more orange, the warmer the atmosphere and, conversely, the more white, the calmer it is. The latter, by the way, is more suitable for living rooms, since to receive people with different temperature preferences, it is better to choose a neutral environment and add a little warmth to it in the form of orange accents.

In alliance with the tree

From time immemorial it has been a symbol of comfort and harmony, but, in addition to this, it also has the ability to balance the activity of the orange range of colors. And the result is a very harmonious environment, filled with natural naturalness.

The tree can be in a similar tone to orange, or much darker than it, or both, the main thing is that it will always be comfortable here. That is, this is such a harmonious union that any shades of wood will suit perfectly. In addition, there is no need to add other colors, they will only spoil the gorgeous image, except for a little white as an accent.

Duet with green

When you see green-orange interiors, the image of an orange tree immediately comes to mind. It is this natural association that ensures that this duet is often used to decorate rooms that seem to be filled with this sour-sweet taste, hidden juicy greens. By the way, for some, this combination may resemble a tangerine, which will be sweeter - this is a matter of taste. But what’s good about this color combination is that it’s more comfortable and unobtrusive, unlike, for example, a combination with red.

But by varying the shades, you can make the interior not so rich and bright, which would be too tiring, for example, for a children's room. This is also for children good combination, since everything connected with nature has a positive effect on them, but it is preferable to choose calmer shades, especially for hyperactive children.

In the kitchen, green and orange motifs will encourage a good appetite. Feng Shui experts believe that if there is a lot of green in the kitchen, you will want to eat more salads, and this is healthy. On your own, you can think that the presence of orange encourages the consumption of oranges and tangerines, this is also very useful, the main thing is not to cause allergies.

Orange and brown (chocolate)

This is a very harmonious and balanced combination. It is suitable for people who want to make their interior warm, cozy, but also energetic. There will be no disharmony in such an interior, and it doesn’t matter what shades of orange are taken, they all fit perfectly with chocolate.

They often go with rich orange chocolate color, which reaches a glossy black. It looks a little strict, but respectable. In this option, it is worth adding light surfaces, perhaps a grayish tint. And the use of black not only in this case, but also, in general, with a brown-orange color scheme is not advisable, this will lead to a compatibility conflict.

Despite the positivity of orange, few people decide to make it dominant in the interior - after all, it is very warm, even in conjunction with neutral colors such as. But do not forget that there are softer shades that, even as a background, will not make the room too bright. And brown will further soften the energy of orange.

But there are other options, for example, making only one wall orange, and the others in brown shades. The room will be warm and calm at the same time.

Another option would be to use orange accents in brown interior. Brown will very well emphasize, but will not enhance the influence of orange.

A soft union with a pastel palette

The pastel palette itself is characterized by calmness and tranquility, and when it is combined with some bright colors, it turns out cozy interior with hints of cheerfulness and some temperature preference. In a duet of orange and pastel palettes, the room will become moderately warm; cheerful and cheerful, but also within reason.

For lovers active image In life, this option for arranging accents is suitable: orange walls and furniture (beige is classified as a pastel palette). So what does this give us? It’s impossible to sit still in the orange interior; you want to do something all the time: walk around, jump, vacuum. This color charges with a huge flow of energy. But so that you can sometimes relax, sit down or lie down on a beige sofa and you will immediately feel better. A conversation with friends in the living room with this design will be active, fun, but not overloaded or tiring.

But for the bedroom it is undesirable to choose such an interior design. It is better to make the walls in a calm design, otherwise there will be problems with sleep. A good mood and you can get a boost of energy by making your curtains orange. Especially in the morning, when the sun passes through them, the room will be filled with enchanting light.

Orange and blue - a rarity in the interior

Lately, this color combination is rare. But I would like to point out that this union is perfect for children's rooms, where an obvious temperature conflict does not create an imbalance, but, on the contrary, brings both colors into harmony. That is, the room is neither cold nor hot, but fresh and comfortable. True, provided that blue or light blue is presented in a soft form.

And in other rooms you can use a rich shade of blue; orange will only benefit from this. In this combination, it will acquire saturation itself. This has already become a rule among designers: against the background or in combination with dark blue or dark blue, any shade of orange (even the palest) will become brighter and richer. By the way, this principle only works in this setting of roles, and if you replace dark blue with dark green or, then the result will be different.

And if you take bright or even for “neighborhood”, then the intensity of orange will decrease. The room will no longer be so bright, but the warmth and positivity will remain.

There is one more subtlety when working with orange-blue and interiors. The color of the furniture should not match the color of the walls, they will simply merge. Of course, you need to maintain the tonality, but it is better if different tonal transitions or contrast effects are used. That is, if the walls are orange, then make the furniture in orange, but lighter or darker, and in blue. This way you can achieve compatibility and clearly define the boundaries of objects.

IN old times knights used this combination as a symbol of valor and honor. But now everything is different. In our time, this union is personified with Halloween (celebrating the transition from the light part of the year to the dark). Just as this combination is used in nature by poisonous reptiles and insects, it is used by people to warn of danger: labeling, road signs and so on. As for the interior, the orange and black combination is too aggressive, but it can be used by daring and self-confident people. As well as creative and dynamic individuals whom it will stimulate.

It is optimal to use the union of these colors on. But this duet is strictly contraindicated for children's rooms; it has an overstimulating effect on them.

So, any interior can be refined and made sunny and joyful with the help of orange, but you can play with temperature sensations by combining it with other colors.

Orange and its combinations

We spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Here our morning begins with an invigorating mug of coffee, and the day ends with a delicious dinner with family. Holidays and fun get-togethers with friends don’t bypass the kitchen. We also conduct the most daring culinary experiments here. The kitchen is the soul of the apartment, so it should be cozy, positive, and stylish.

Psychology of color

In interior design important role color plays. To choose it correctly, you need to understand what you want to get as a result. Orange color lifts your mood, helps cope with depression, energizes you, and helps you feel the taste of life. But there is one caveat: the orange color makes food more appetizing. Therefore, for those losing weight, it is better to avoid bright colors in the kitchen and choose a calmer shade - peach.

You should not use only one orange color in the kitchen. The interior will turn out heavy and tasteless. You can dilute it with wallpaper or curtains in other colors. Kitchen furniture will also help add variety and color.

When developing a design, it is worth considering the fact that orange color draws all attention to itself. This shade is reminiscent of warm summer, relaxation and carefreeness, so it is perfect for a kitchen in the northern part of the house. Orange color will help you stay warm. An orange palette can also adjust the space and shape of the kitchen. The elongated room will become wider.

Extra brightness and joy orange kitchen will add good lighting. You should not limit yourself to one orange color, because it has a very wide palette. You can choose orange, apricot, terracotta, carrot, coral. Each of these shades can add richness, originality and brightness.

Organic color combinations

Wallpaper for the kitchen should be selected based on the color of the furniture. The orange set dictates its own rules. You need to choose calm colors for it. White, blue, pistachio, beige, gray, sand, milk are suitable here.

For white It is better to choose a warm shade of orange. Milky wallpaper will soften the interior of an orange kitchen. Art Nouveau lovers should take a closer look at gray; it will make the kitchen modern and fashionable. In this color scheme the kitchen will become even cozier. Black should be used carefully, in small quantities, in details.

Green wallpaper It is better to choose calm shades - olive, mint, pistachio. The entire orange palette goes very organically with green. The design of such a kitchen will be complemented flower drawings or an unusual print.

With light green shades the interior will be very fresh and energizing.

Suitable for lovers of a quiet environment beige wallpaper. They will calm the screaming orange color. The kitchen will be bright, but not provocative.

For the brave and original

Blue - quite a strict color due to its cold spectrum. Such wallpaper will make the orange kitchen more serious and presentable. For a simpler and more casual interior, blue wallpaper is suitable.

Connoisseurs of luxury should choose wallpaper colors for an orange kitchen Ivory. The result will be a chic, expensive interior. Furniture must match the chosen style and be of high quality.

A combination of orange and sandy. Such a warm environment will help you relax and unwind. You can imagine yourself in a small cozy cafe on the seashore.

Don't match

WITH purple wallpaper the combination of an orange set will suit the daring and original. This is enough bold decision for kitchen. This color scheme will add personality to the interior. To dilute such active colors a little, you can add light details. It is important to choose the right shades of orange and purple, otherwise it will turn out not stylish, but tasteless.

Matte wallpaper will not go well with a shiny surface and vice versa. Materials must be of the same texture. Strict red matte wallpaper and shiny orange furniture will look very strange.

For a juicy orange, orange set, it is better to paste the walls in light gray, yellow or milky. In such a situation, wallpaper of both light and dark shades is suitable. The main thing is that they are not flashy and do not score bright color kitchen set. Orange can be used to decorate walls, but only in small quantities, as elements and additional details.

Colored photo wallpaper is another not the best option for an orange kitchen. Bright fruits on photo wallpapers will take away all the attention and will only make the interior heavy. In combination with energetic orange, you will get a sad picture, despite the riot of colors.

Orange in interior styles

Under brown furniture Orange wall cabinets look great in the kitchen. You can use white wallpaper with a large geometric print. The result is a style with a reference to futurism. Above the tabletop you can stick structured brown-terracotta wallpaper or small square tiles.

For a glossy countertop or mirrored table, the orange style would be a great choice. The kitchen will be light, airy, warm and cozy. This combination is suitable for minimalism or hi-tech.

Kitchen in Japanese style It looks very laconic and unusual. Dark brown will go well with an orange kitchen set. plain wallpaper. The interior can be diversified with white inserts above the tabletop. Furniture can also combine orange, brown and white. A painting with bamboo or sakura will harmoniously complement the interior.

Transparent bar stools, greenery and flowers in glass rectangular containers. Ideally white ceiling, walls can be made a shade darker. Elongated lamps in metal design. Orange set and massive white table top. This is how you can create the perfect kitchen in a modern style.

Quality and material

When choosing the color of wallpaper for an orange kitchen, do not forget about its quality. Since wallpaper is intended for the kitchen, paper wallpaper is definitely not suitable. You should also immediately abandon fabric, acrylic and liquid ones. All these models are afraid of dirt and water. It will be impossible to clean them.

Vinyl and non-woven wallpaper will become ideal option for kitchen. If necessary, they can be washed, they are wear-resistant and resistant to damage. This is great for the kitchen important qualities. Over time they will not fade or fade. Vinyl and non-woven fabric do not absorb odor, so unpleasant odors there will be no staying in the kitchen.

Orange color in the interior - juicy like an orange, hot like the sun

Proper Use orange in the interior can fill any room with light, warmth, and give you a genuine feeling of cheerfulness, optimism and happiness. In this article I will tell you about what the color orange is combined with in the interior and how to use this tone harmoniously.

Color creates a mood

Orange is one of the most active shades; it combines the energy of good-natured yellow and the strength of red. This color is part of the sunset, a symbol of pleasure, warmth and carefreeness. It is able to create a sunny mood, inspire a festive atmosphere and fill any room with warmth, even one in which the rays of the heavenly body have never been.

Orange must be used very carefully in the interior, as it is very active and energetic. Orange tones have a special effect on a person: they can free him from feelings of depression and improve digestion. These shades are also tonic.

Orange has a large number of shades, some of them are more energetic, others have a calming and relaxing character, therefore their purpose is completely different. Tangerine is perfect for a children's room, pumpkin and amber are perfect for the dining room and kitchen. I consider carrot, bronze and coral to be universal, because they can be used almost everywhere.

Features of orange

I want to tell you about some features of orange color in the interior:

  1. It can improve your mood.
  2. It is always warm and has no cold shades.
  3. Orange objects are endowed with the ability to attract the eye.
  4. Thanks to it, creativity awakens and brain function is stimulated.
  5. We don’t combine it with cold shades, but it gets along just fine with warm shades.
  6. Objects in orange are visually more voluminous than other shades. For example, an orange vase will appear slightly larger than a blue one. This property does not apply to walls.
  7. It has the property of increasing appetite.
  8. Using orange for wall decoration small spaces makes the room visually even smaller.
  9. Orange's neighbors are yellow and red, but its complete opposite is blue.

Colors that harmonize perfectly with orange

Now I will tell you what colors combine most successfully with orange in the interior:

  1. White. This color goes well with orange, highlights and complements it. Cold white next to the orange tone seems less icy in appearance, and the orange becomes even brighter against the background of white. This color, combined with orange, is well suited for a minimalist living room and bathroom.

  1. Green. This color next to orange creates a natural combination that is associated with New Year holidays, a flowering meadow or a basket of fruit. It is advisable to combine orange color with warm green shades.

  1. Cream (beige). By its nature, this shade is very calm. Thanks to this quality, it is able to balance the energy and fieryness of orange. So that you can understand me, I will give the following example: on a white background, tangerine begins to “burn,” but cream, unlike white, calms this flame a little.

  1. Grey. The duet of this shade with tangerine can be considered quite successful. A light gray shade, like cream, can dull the brightness of orange. Since these colors do not contradict each other, they coexist quite harmoniously.

  1. Blue. Warm shades of this color have a beneficial effect on emotional condition people are a symbol of the sky and sea, and in combination with an orange tone they can create a wonderful duet. When using it in the interior, it is worth considering that prolonged exposure to blue pure form may provoke depression.

  1. Blue. What associations do you have with this color in a duet with hot orange? Of course, it resembles the sky on a clear day, and I believe that this combination is more than ideal, since it was intended by nature itself. So why not use it in the interior?

  1. Brown. This color in the interior is suitable for people in need of relaxation and peace. Its combination with orange is a good option, as the warm color will prevent the room from becoming gloomy.

Bold combinations

The orange tone itself is not easy to match good color It's not always easy. There are some shades that, when combined with tangerine, are not suitable for everyone.

If you want extravagant combinations to create something special, use orange with:

  1. Black. This combination turns out to be brutal and aggressive, and it is precisely because of this that it is ideal for daring and self-confident people. This duet has a positive effect on active and creative personalities, as it is able to inspire and stimulate them. Orange on a black background begins to blind, burn, and pulsate.

This duet is used in modern interiors, but I recommend not using this combination in its pure form in a residential area. It is best to dilute it with the presence of other shades, for example, beige, gray, white, soft pink.

  1. Pink. In general, it is believed that this combination is not the most successful, since these two colors are approximately the same in lightness and together create, at first glance, some kind of intermediate shade. Such a duet does not carry expressiveness, but in the case correct selection shades, you can use it to create a very unusual design.

You can achieve a non-standard effect by using several shades of pink: from the lightest to the loudest. For a more comfortable indoor environment, the pink-orange duet can be diluted with light brown, white, gold, green, blue and, in extreme cases, black.

  1. Chocolate. Despite the good combination of brown and orange shades, chocolate is too dark, especially if it is very close to glossy black. A duet with this color resembles a combination with black, so it is not suitable for everyone. If you are attracted to extravagant combinations, match dark chocolate with flashy orange.

This combination looks strict, but it is persistently used because of its solid looking. It would be appropriate to add light shades to such an interior, for example, beige and grayish. You should not use black with orange-chocolate colors, as this will cause compatibility problems.

  1. Purple. Some believe that this union is not very successful, but thanks to their bold natures, these two colors are slowly finding their place in children's and living rooms. Such a daring and bold combination of almost opposite shades can stand out very beautifully in the interior.

If you want to transform your apartment with the help of an orange-purple duet, you need to know one important thing - the colors must be from the same palette, namely, have similar (preferably the same) characteristics:

  • dimness/brightness;
  • simplicity/complexity;
  • blur/saturation;
  • cleanliness / dustiness, etc.

If you want to use these colors as base colors, you will have to remember these rules:

  • choose purple and orange from the same palette (that is, with the same characteristics);
  • The more saturated the colors, the more aggressive the interior of the room will be perceived, so do not forget to add some light color.

Remember the rule, if you decide to make these two colors the main ones for the interior: try to distribute them in such a way that the orange is diluted with purple correct proportion. To do this, complement orange walls with purple decor and vice versa.

The purple-orange union can be diluted with neutral colors:

  • cream;
  • grey;
  • white;
  • khaki;
  • sand.

And of course, light cool shades:

  • light lilac;
  • turquoise;
  • blue;
  • lemon yellow;
  • cool green shades;
  • aquamarine.

I do not recommend using shades of red, as well as terracotta, coral, burgundy and peach. You should also avoid other shades that contain a high proportion of red, pink and orange.

Decor - completion of the orange interior

If your room lacks warm tangerine shades, and there is no money for repairs, this is not a reason to be upset. Nothing prevents you from adding orange accents to the interior of the room with the help of accessories.

Let's see how this can be done:

  1. Buy new curtains. A plain orange fabric or orange patterns on a neutral canvas will help transform your room. For the kitchen/bathroom you can choose luscious blinds.

  1. Choose the right one interesting decor . Various figurines, paintings, vases and other small accessories may be suitable for this.

  1. Buy new textiles. It is not necessary to purchase for this new sofa, you can replace the upholstery on the old one. The easiest way is to buy bright orange blankets, throw them on a chair/bed/sofa and choose suitable pillows.

  1. Experiment with lighting. You don't need instructions for this. And now I'm not talking about spotlights, and about sconces or floor lamps, by replacing which you can see the room in a new light.

  1. Buy artificial fireplace (of course, if funds allow). The fire in the fireplace will be a great source of orange color.

Conclusion

Now you know everything about using orange in the interior of an apartment or private house. Use this warm and energetic shade indoors at least in a minimal amount and you will not regret it.

If you want to express gratitude, add a clarification or objection, or ask the author something - add a comment or say thank you!

Greetings))

Today we will talk about the color orange, with which designers propose to create magnificent interiors because they consider it an excellent means, and my experience of “living with orange” turned out to be extremely positive. I'll try to convince you too)))

“Orange sky, orange sea, orange greens, orange camel...” The words of this “Orange Song” pour like a balm on the souls of orange lovers. A color that has absorbed all the brightest and most positive properties of its “parents” - bright yellow and red.

According to the “expert” of colors and shades, Mars Luscher, orange is the color of joy, vivid impressions and violent emotions. It makes the heart beat faster, gives a good mood and pleases the eye. This is the color of excellent appetite and vigor, carefree children's laughter and inexhaustible energy, soft strength, positivity and eternal celebration!

Orange, unlike red, is active, but not aggressive. He affects us with softness and warmth, he knows how to show a “plus” even in a “minus” and makes us move forward, and only forward! With him, life takes on new colors and becomes brighter, more joyful and fuller.

Modern psychology is also supported by the ancient practice of Feng Shui.

According to Feng Shui, orange is the color of creativity and freedom, action and optimism. It helps to get rid of fears, melancholy and depression, helps to reveal one's abilities and symbolizes hope for happiness and prosperity.

Orange color is so bright that it can crowd out all other colors and shades. But at the same time, it gets along well with many colors and feels great in any environment, in any interior.

Moreover, orange, like no other, is rich in undertones: juicy orange, tangerine; softer tones - carrot, ripe apricot, pumpkin; brownish-orange - copper, rusty, ocher, dark amber, honey; muted shades of orange - cream, terracotta, soft salmon.

So, let's go through the rooms and see what the interior looks like in orange tones!

Orange color in the kitchen interior

Orange cuisine is the key to a good appetite and good mood in the morning! In such a room it will always be cozy and comfortable. And depending on what colors accompany orange, the kitchen will look fun and playful or stylish and original.

Orange color not only displaces all other colors, but also visually increases the volume of objects and makes them closer. Therefore, the main rule of orange cuisine is balance. An entire kitchen done in orange tones is too much. So you need to decide right away: there will be bright walls or headset.

Most often, the facades of an orange kitchen act as an accent. Which ones to choose in this case? What colors go best with orange in a kitchen interior?

The ideal “couple” is orange! An orange with leaves, bright summer sun and lush grass, a flowerbed with marigolds... The most natural combination is one of the most popular when decorating kitchens.

A kitchen set with orange fronts also looks harmonious against a calm background - light gray, silver, milky, ivory, white or a light shade of yellow.

And vice versa, light facades kitchen units look great with orange walls.

The combination of orange and blue-violet shades looks original, bold and extravagant. In this case, bright details will be unnecessary - excessive variegation will give the interior a tacky look.

But an apron in an orange kitchen may well “match” the kitchen. An apron with photo printing will be especially good.

The tabletop in this case can be white, black, gray. In some cases, shades of olive and cherry are suitable.

It is worth paying attention to the contrasting combination of orange and black - this kitchen looks simply amazing - stylish and very impressive!

Despite the fact that I am not a fan of the color orange in general, in the interior it gives me pleasure, both to the eyes and to the soul)) The experience of living in a kitchen with orange facades confirms that indeed this bright, cheerful color is capable of energizing and sunny mood :)

Orange color in the living room interior

Orange would also be appropriate in the living room. Especially if the room area is rather large and the windows face north.

In this case, orange will warm the room, add sun and warmth to it, and create an atmosphere of comfort and celebration. The whole family will happily gather in the evenings in an orange-colored living room; such a room will welcome guests at home as well.

In the living room, orange is used more often as accents - floor lamps, pillows, paintings, rugs, interior decor.

But, with a certain courage and skill, it is quite possible to increase the amount of this sparkling color. Orange looks best in living rooms decorated in the style of pop art, minimalism, retro (60s era), country, art deco, avant-garde and oriental ethnic style.

To ensure that the living room interior is harmonious and not overloaded, designers recommend choosing complex orange-brown (ochre, terracotta, copper) and soft light shades (peach, pumpkin, honey) for the walls, and dark shades of wood for the floor - an excellent background for an orange carpet !

In this case, upholstered furniture can be chosen in gray, beige or white colors. And orange will complement the interior decorative pillows and a blanket. Coffee table with a glass tabletop or a console with twisted legs will also fit perfectly into such an interior.

If you prefer to make a bright accent on the furniture, then the best option there will be an orange sofa. The ideal “background” for it would be walls of white, cream, gray, green and light shades of blue. Moreover, the lighter the furniture upholstery, the lighter the shade of the walls should be.

But in the living room we not only had bright accents in the form of orange furniture, but all the walls are covered with wallpaper in orange tones. And, you know, none of the guests ever complained that the color was too bright and boring, but for me it generally seems good: warm and festive.

Orange color in the bedroom interior

Bright and active orange color in the bedroom should be used extremely carefully. Otherwise, you are guaranteed to have problems with sleep: instead of rest and relaxation, you will get a state of nervousness and overexcitation. And if you prefer calmer tones in the recreation area, then pay attention to. Although the orange color for this room can also be played up.

Orange wallpaper in the bedroom interior, at the behest of the designers, acquires softer and more delicate tones of peach and apricot. In combination with beige and golden shades, they create an amazing atmosphere of harmony, warmth and bliss in the bedroom.

As for furniture, shades of dark wood look best when paired with orange.

But you can “play” with accessories. Transparent orange curtains will help you wake up in the morning and smile at a new day (especially if getting up in the morning is a difficult problem for you).

Decorative pillows with a blanket, bed linen, fresh flowers or lamp shades will “support” the clothes for the windows. The main thing is not to overdo it!

Orange color: combination with other colors in the interior

Since orange is an exceptionally warm color that does not have cold shades, designers recommend “mixing” it only with the same warm tones.

The most popular combinations of orange with cream, beige, green, olive, gray, white, and shades of brown.

Orange shades combine interestingly with each other. So peach, pumpkin and apricot look especially elegant if their beauty is emphasized by shades of copper or terracotta.

Despite the “tendency” of orange towards the warm spectrum, it also looks very impressive in combination with cool shades of blue, lilac, etc.

This kind of interior is not for everyone. But for lovers of extravagance and outrageousness, it is ideal!

And in order for you to always have “sun in the house”, just hang curtains or tulle in any shade of the orange palette on the window and it will immediately seem that there is more light in the room, and the mood will become just as sunny :)
