Skyrim - Guarding the living. Skyrim: The Watcher of Stendarr The Watcher walkthrough

“Apotheosis is the deification, glorification, exaltation of any person, event or phenomenon”

Well, this abstruse word can describe some of the events taking place in this fashion. Perhaps I'll tell you everything as it is.

Plot:

The Dovahkiin, then, goes to Windhelm about his business, when suddenly - bam - the corpse of a horse, and next to him - the corpse of a man. It must be a shame to die one step away from your goal? Not the point. You, as a curious person, decide to search his corpse and find a letter addressed to some “X.” You don’t know any X., but the letter is interesting, so you open it and start a new quest. It says here that there is a difficult and well-paid task for the pros, and it also points to a place where you can get a deposit and learn about its details. Actually, the task is to find an ancient scroll, overcoming many obstacles, including traps, puzzles and, of course, bosses.

Peculiarities:

  • A new Dwemer dungeon filled with traps and puzzles
  • Five new, cool bosses, four of them have unique soundtracks
  • All quests are done using the Morrowind system - no markers, you only need to look for places from dry scraps of information
  • Non-linear dungeon progression, slightly non-standard design
  • There are stealth skills, as well as hacking skills. All this will play into your hands.

How to start? :

Near the entrance to Windhelm, near the bridge, there will be the body of a dead horse and a man next to it. Search his body and you will find a note.

Requirements:

  • All official DLC (Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn)
  • Recommended, but not required the following mods are TK Dodge, Lock-On and VIGILANT

Translation:

The mod is completely translated into Russian by me specifically for the site. Only now I saw that on the TESALL website there is already a translated version of Apotheosis. Well, okay, there will be two alternative translations, and I also made a beautiful picture. 1-0 in my favor.

Installation:

  1. Unpack the archive into the “The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim\Data” folder.
  2. Launch Skyrim launcher. Select Files.
  3. In the list that appears, check the box next to your file. Click >>Ok<<.

Two sentinels

Vigilants of Stendarr This is an order of holy warriors located on the territory of Skyrim. His mission is to eliminate the Daedra and any other "abominations" (such as vampires, werewolves and witches) they find in the name of the deity Stendarr.

Watchmen can often be seen walking in groups along roads or standing alone in certain areas. Any Marine not in combat can heal the player character. if he asks him.

You may have to fight them while completing Daedra quests; for example, when you are accompanied by Barbas at the beginning of the quest The Dog is a Daedra's Friend, you may meet the Watchers, who will begin to attack the dog and will be killed by him in the end.

Dialogues

Greetings:

"May Stendarr's mercy be with you, for the Watch has no mercy." "Those who succumb to the temptation of the Daedra will not escape unpunished." "Stay on the bright side, or we'll drag you to it." "Wherever the Daedra hide, Stendarr's Watch will bring them to light." "Stendarr does not bestow his mercy on the minions of the Daedra."

Existing dialogs:

"May Stendarr be with you." "Nothing escapes the eyes of the Watch. Everything comes to light."

Player: "Are you the Watchers of Stendarr?"

"Yes. Our order was founded after the Oblivion Crisis. We dedicate our lives to fighting the Daedra threat wherever they appear."

Player: "Who is Stendarr?"

"He is the God of Mercy. The patron of order and justice throughout Tamriel. We carry his compassion where it is most needed, and destroy those who harm his children."

Player: "Are you hunting Daedra?"

"And all the other vile creatures that feed on mortals. Vampires. Werewolves. Witches. But the Daedra are the worst of all. Their callous disregard for our lives is disgusting to the god of mercy."

In the worldwide popular game "Skyrim" there is a huge number of characters, factions and organizations about which there is not much information. This number includes the Vigilants of Stendarr - warriors on the side of the light who are not so often found in the open world. In this material you can find out all the information about them.

Foundation of the association

The Watchers of Stendarr appeared as a separate faction around 3E 434. A powerful impetus for the founding of an organization to combat the Daedra was the Oblivion Crisis and the invasion of one of the Princes in Tamriel.

The founders of the order are considered to be the Crusaders, who moved to Skyrim for this very purpose. Soon the organization began to attract many new faces, and branches appeared in other provinces of the Empire. Their main goal was to hunt down the Daedra Princes, destroy any hints of their existence, fight vampires and the like. The servants of the order consider werewolves and dragons dangerous to humanity; at the first meeting with them, the Watchers of Stendarr will instantly attack. The organization became interesting to many players during their travels through Skyrim, but the developers did not make it possible to join it.

Order-related quests

For many users, the question of how to become a Sentinel of Stendarr is of paramount importance. In a true role-playing game (Skyrim is positioned as such) there should be freedom in roleplaying, but the developers did not think about this.

As a result, the faction remains secondary, although some tasks may be associated with it. For example, in a random meeting with the Marines, the player can take on the mission “Dawnguard” from them. In the same line there will be the quest “Awakening”. It will be given to the player by Tolan, who will tell you about his defeat in the battle with vampires. They managed to capture where all players will have to go. It should be noted that the tasks will be available if you have Skyrim Special Edition with all the additions. This mission chain is not included in the standard edition. Another task related to the order will be in Markarth. Rumors about a strange house have been circulating in the city for a long time. When going to it, you will meet Sentinel Turan near the entrance. He will ask you to explore the building. Further developments in the “House of Horror” task depend on the user’s choice.

Provincial situation

In the game "Skyrim", the main base of the faction is located in the Hall of the Watch. You can enter there without problems if the player has not completed tasks from the Daedra Princes. Otherwise, they will be hostile to the protagonist and attack at every meeting. The second base is the signal tower of Stendarr, which is located on the very border of Riften and Morrowind.

If the player has the Skyrim Special Edition, the Hall of Watch will be looted and destroyed. He will be attacked by vampires after the player reaches level 10. A large number of Stendarr's Watch will die in the fight. Before this, the player can chat with their leader named Guardian Carketta. The organization always adheres to the initial canons written by the founders. They are looking for Daedra in all corners of the province, large cities are no exception. Politics does not concern them, and therefore the order always takes a neutral side. This was the case in the conflict between the Stormcloaks and the Empire. Regardless of the time of day, you can meet patrols of the order on the roads. At night, they look for vampires, who at this moment go hunting.

In Skyrim, the Watchers of Stendarr can encounter the player while they are wearing Daedric Artifacts. In this case, he will be asked to give the items for safekeeping to the order. You won’t want to do this, because such equipment gives good bonuses.

In the Dawnguard expansion, when traveling through the province, a group of Marines will call the player. If you approach them, you will discover deception from vampires dressed in the uniform of the order. You need to fight them, and close to this place you can find the corpses of real members of the organization. Daedra pursuers can fulfill the request to heal the main character if they are well disposed towards him. If you have a companion in the form of the dog Barbas, all members of the organization will attack within sight. When traveling at night, Vigilantes are easy to spot. They always patrol the area with a torch in their hands. You can approach them, there will definitely be a couple of skeleton corpses in this place. Contact with ministers can lead to other interesting things.

Sentinels of Stendarr roam the roads of Skyrim. Players rarely meet them, so few people think about what contribution these gloomy wanderers make to protecting the inhabitants of the northern province from evil spirits, vampires, necromancers and others.
Unfortunately, Gazebo did not develop the theme of undead fighters.
It seemed unfair to the author that the patrolmen were dressed in rags, armed with anything, and easily died in skirmishes with the enemy.

Therefore, the watchmen became stronger and acquired new equipment:

  • Sentinel armor (optional version for UNP bodies) - simple, mage, warrior and ranger, with different enchantments
  • Shining Watch Staff, heavy (hammer type)
  • Shining Watch Staff, light (hammer type)
  • Shining Mace of the Watch
  • Silver Sword of the Watch (one- and two-handed, increased damage to undead)
  • Runed Watch Sword (one- and two-handed, 10 pcs., various enchantments)

The armor has similar characteristics to the guards' armor. Weapons are at the ebony level. Since version 4.1 Dual Sheath Redux is supported.
All this can be removed from the sentinels (if you manage to defeat them), found in chests, and also created in any forge (Draugrovskoe section), first wearing the amulet of Stendarr(so that the items appear in the forge menu).
Requires DLC Dawnguard.
The archive contains options for the legendary edition and for SE.

UPDATE 5.2

  1. Descriptions of swords and indications of effects have been corrected.
  2. Added a version of the mod for Skyrim Special Edition.

______________

Installation: place SV.bsa and SV.esm from the "1. Main mod" folder into the game's ..\Data folder and connect it in the launcher. Perhaps the sentinels will not immediately rearm and change clothes, and you will have to wait a few game days, or move back and forth with fast travel (you can also select the sentinel in the console and type resurrect, or start a new game, but this is too radical)).

Removal: disable and delete the specified files.

Description from translators:
The Sentinel is the grandest and largest mod we've ever played. The mod is made in the best traditions of Dark Souls, and indeed the entire Souls series, and is very respectful of the Lore of the TES universe. It’s difficult to say that everything in the mod is exactly as it was intended by the authors of the TES series, but there are no significant differences with the lore.
The mod comes with a couple of dozen new armor that suits both female and male characters (there are a few clothes that are an exception), tons of weapons and the same number of rings. Everything has its own textures and models. Dozens of new enemies, new companions (one of which is a four-legged creature named Al) and of course all this is accompanied by a very long quest that could easily pass for a full-fledged DLC.

This release contains only the .esp file with the translation; the original must first be downloaded from the Nexus.
You need to download the original for the Special Edition from here.
The mod is marked as "Adults Only", so you need to disable this filter.

Requirements:
+ Original mod
+ Skyrim 1.9 or higher
+ v6.0 or higher (for version without voice acting)
+ Dawnguard, Dragonborn

Recommendations:
+ English voice acting for the mod.
+ English voice acting for the SSE version
+ 2.01
+Lock-On
+
+ It is also advisable to set the difficulty level higher (you are going to Hell after all)

Installation:
1) Download the original mod from Nexus. Unpack. (Download SSE version from here).
1.1) Download English voice acting
1.2) For Special Edition users, download the English voice acting from here. Unpack, confirm file replacement.
2) Download the translation. Unpack, confirm file replacement.

How to start the quest:
The mod consists of 4 episodes:
Episode 1: Summoner. Go to Dawnstar to the Peak of the Winds tavern, the desired NPC will speak to you (well, if not, his name is Altano).
Episode 2: Bloody Matron. Starts automatically after completing the first episode.
Episode 3: Child of Oblivion. Starts automatically after completing the second episode.
Episode 4: Oblivion. Starts automatically after completing the third episode. (Or in the finale of Act 1\2\3, if you accept Molag Bal's offer).
The mod is non-linear and contains multiple endings. There are two main ones: negative and positive. The positive one, in turn, is divided into five more options.
There are no quest entries or signs in Episode 4, but there are quests there, and they are done in the style of the Souls series.
Armor and weapons can be forged in a special forge (Zenithar's Forge) after completing these quests, or after fulfilling special conditions.
