And after this comes the washing efficiency class, which is determined in laboratory conditions for a new machine. Midea MFD 45S500 W, like most modern cars, has class A.

One friend told me that he connected his old washing machine through a timer socket for this purpose. But it might work with old technology with mechanical control, and with most modern models will no longer work - with the electricity turned off, it will not be possible to set the program.
In general, the delayed start function is must have, before this, in the morning I could find a loaded machine on which I forgot to press the “start” button.
The second is loading one basket. You may have encountered the fact that sometimes you need to wash a small amount of dishes. You can select the basket into which the dishes are loaded, and then the mode in which washing occurs only in this basket. Washing in two baskets is automatically set.
USER CONVENIENCE
One of the most important factors for convenience for me is the placement of trays and holders for plates and cutlery.
For example, recently many people have been saying how much more convenient it is to use a separate basket for cutlery compared to a small basket that is additionally placed in the machine.
I can’t say that I myself am as categorical. I used a Midea dishwasher with a separate pull-out basket for a month and did not notice a fundamental difference in ease of use. If you need to insert devices into cells in a mobile basket, then here, too, all the devices are laid out one at a time so that they are washed thoroughly. An obvious advantage of a separate basket for cutlery is that the space in the main basket for placing mobile cutlery is not consumed, which is often very important. I think that is why the official capacity of Midea is 10 “spherical” place settings, versus 8 for my old dishwasher.
However, I have already used machines with a separate basket for devices (in significantly more expensive models), which is probably why I was already calm about this innovation.
The second is plates and pans. However, everything here is located relatively standard. I was pleased with the distance between the “pins”. Sometimes they are made so tightly that you can put 1.5 times as many plates, but if you put them like that, the plates are difficult to wash.
There are two caveats when loading. The large ladle does not fit into the cutlery tray and has to be thrown into the basket for cups and plates.
In the middle basket you need to place plates so that the cups and plates do not block the water connection.
It would be nice if the manufacturer provided “foolproof protection” in this unit, because Literally on the second day of use, I successfully covered this unit with a bowl and was indignant for a long time why the basket did not want to move completely.
Third. When you turn on the machine, the ECO program is automatically displayed. It is long and economical (duration 195 minutes, power consumption 0.74 kW/h, water consumption - 8 l). Since in old car I immediately turned on the previously used program, I had to get used to the fact that each time the program needs to be installed if ECO does not seem universal. However, it may well become your favorite program if you run the dishwasher once a day at night. The dishes are washed well; for heavy soiling, you can add an additional intensive cleaning function.
There is a 90 minute program for washing dirty dishes. It is less economical (energy consumption 1.15 kW/h, and water consumption 11.5 liters), but after 1.5 hours the dishes will be clean.
CAPACITY
The dishwasher is designed for 10 place settings. But we don’t wash dishes in sets, do we? Therefore, I was interested not in how many plates can be neatly arranged at the same time, but how convenient it would be to wash large items, for which plates and cups have to be moved quite a bit.
In the photo: 14 large plates, 6 medium and 4 small (the medium ones are over, but would fit), 16 saucers, 12 glasses.
I have several items that were difficult to place - tall jars, a large saucepan, and a glass cutting board. To ensure that they did not interfere with either the baskets or the sprinkler, it was necessary to limit the loading and place them at an angle.
Despite the fact that the volumes of dishwashers are approximately the same, due to the location of the middle basket, everything fits easily and freely in the lower one. To be honest, I was very surprised by this myself.
Midea. Both the 9 liter pan and the board fit into the machine without interfering with each other or the water sprinkler:
In this case, the middle tray is in the lower position. If necessary, it can be raised a few centimeters.
Old typewriter (photo below). The board only stands up at an angle. A pan with a smaller margin, but it fits (“the pins” are lowered to the side):
At the same time wash them in old typewriter never worked out, unlike Midea.
CONCLUSIONS
This model is quite simple and you can find more sophisticated ones on the market, even from the same manufacturer. They will have touch buttons, extra drying, and a sprayer that moves in more than one plane.
However, it cleans well, all the basic functions necessary for work are present here. And a delayed start, and a short 90-minute program, and intensive washing. There is a separate tray for cutlery, a compartment for salt, thanks to which you can reduce water hardness and improve the quality of washing dishes, and aqua-stop, and much more. And the fact that all this is available for only 15.5 thousand rubles allows you to save significantly compared to models of similar functionality from famous brands.
The traditional issue of reliability remains. There are no serious statistics here yet, but it is worth noting that the manufacturer provides a 24-month warranty (versus 12 for the majority).
