- Mark the cut lines.
- Cut off the excess.
- Make a box from the lid and leftovers internal partitions. Calculate how many blanks you will need. Based on the calculation optimal area cells - 7-8 cm2.
Make the height of the partitions equal to the height of the box or slightly less. They will be 2-3 mm shorter in length than the box itself. Then underwear or socks assembled form will fit freely into the cells.
Now these blanks need to be decorated. In our case, we used gift wrapping paper with an interesting “crumpled” texture. But, in order to save money, you can get by with ordinary white A4 sheets. - Cover the cardboards on all sides.
- Send them under the press for a while. While they are drying, start finishing the box.

- Then decorate the bottom.
Oracal, scrapbooking paper or fabric are suitable for external decor. The material must be durable to withstand long-term use. We took thick wrapping paper in a contrasting color. - Start from the sides. Make an allowance on both sides of 3-4 cm.
Do not glue the paper without “trying it on” - this is fraught with errors and unevenness. - Bend the sides - it will be more convenient. Make cuts along the fold lines in the corners of the box so that the paper lies flat.
- Now you can glue.
- Finally, decorate the base of the box.
- Now let's return to the planks that have dried under pressure. Mark on them the location of future cells.
- On long pieces, make marks on the side where the glued edge is visible, and on short pieces, on the opposite side. Then, when assembled, the grille will look neat.
- Using the marks, make cuts to the middle of the cardboard. The width of the cut should be approximately equal to the thickness of the plank.
- Now assemble the grill and insert it into the box. Our underwear and socks organizer is ready to use.

Make slots on the finished parts to fasten the partitions. Fold the finished parts into a grid shape.
3. Using dividers, cut pieces of fabric. Allow seam allowance at the edges to ensure a neat appearance. Glue the finished partitions with fabric using PVA glue. Leave the partitions to dry under pressure overnight. When the partitions are completely dry, trim off the excess edges and threads. Cut slits in the partitions to connect the cells. Pva glue perfectly connects fabric and paper or cardboard without leaving marks on the fabric. Super glue can leave dark marks on fabric. PVA glue is non-toxic, so you don't need to use gloves while working, and it won't pose any risk to your laundry.
4. Sew an outer cover for the organizer. Take measurements of the box. Using a pencil, draw a rectangle on the fabric that will correspond to the size of the box (covering the bottom and outer walls). To make sewing more convenient, the folds of the fabric can be ironed. On the wrong side of the fabric, sew with a regular basting stitch in the shape of a cover. It is not necessary to process the outer edges of the cover; the edges will be covered by the inner cover. At the piece of fabric for the future cover, trim off the excess fabric that is formed when sewing the cover.
5. Sew the inner cover for the organizer. We sew the inner cover in the same way as the outer cover.
6. The outer edges of the inner cover should be sewn with decorative threads. This will protect the fabric from spilling threads and give the case completeness and neatness.

Based on the size of the cabinet where the linen chest will be stored, we determine the height of the box. Measure out what you need and trim off the excess with scissors.
Don't throw away the rest of the box. They are useful for making partitions. The lid will also serve this purpose. Optimal size cells - 7x7 cm or 8x8 cm. Guided by these data, we mark the box and cut out blanks for the walls.
We decorate the details at our discretion. A box covered with old newspaper clippings or sheets of music will look impressive. For a classic, simple design, you can choose plain wallpaper.
The inside of the box itself is glued to match the partitions. It is better to choose wear-resistant paper for decoration. A bright and contrasting design with several colors and paper textures will look interesting and unusual. It is better to start work from the sides and finish with the bottom.
We decorate the outer side of the organizer with scrap paper, fabric or thick packaging material. Small allowances and folds made from paper of a different quality and color look beautiful.
We assemble a grid from blanks for cells. To do this, we make cuts on the parts to the middle of the height and connect them as shown in the photo.

Sew the rectangles, indenting from the edge by 1.5 cm.
We sew transverse partitions from fabric folded in half. Turn out, iron.
