Features of cooking

Unlike classic preparation dishes (in a frying pan), a tall omelette in the oven is a little more difficult to prepare. The process is divided into two stages: beating eggs and baking in the oven. It only takes a few minutes to beat the egg mixture, and half an hour or more to bake. The result of these efforts will be fluffy and great-tasting scrambled eggs. Pots are used for baking, and sometimes the dish is prepared in a silicone mold or other convenient container.

A recipe that has helped me out more than once when I want to feed my family healthy and quick dish- a perfect fluffy omelette baked in the oven. It tastes very delicate, its texture is very porous and has a pleasant milky aroma. This recipe can be modified depending on additional additives that you may have on hand: cheese, sausages, sausage, vegetables and herbs. My version of the recipe - quickly classic version omelette in the oven quick hand with a minimum amount of ingredients. It is also worth adding that it is very reminiscent of an omelette that is prepared in kindergarten. If you start your morning with an omelet, you will feel full until lunchtime. I am sure that you will like the taste of the dish, and you will definitely prepare it for your family and yourself.

Ingredients:

  • chicken eggs- 6 items;
  • cow's milk - 0.3 liters;
  • salt - 0.5 teaspoon;
  • butter for greasing the mold - 7 grams;
  • deep baking dish - my pan size is 10 by 24 centimeters.

A perfect fluffy omelette baked in the oven. Step by step recipe

  1. We start by taking a deep bowl and scooping out six eggs. I use medium sized eggs. An approximate calculation of the egg/milk ratio is 1 egg per 50 milliliters of milk (any percentage of fat content).
  2. Add three hundred milliliters of milk. The milk may be cold or room temperature. By no means hotter.
  3. Add half a teaspoon of salt and start stirring everything very carefully. Beat with a mixer or vigorously with a whisk. lush foam not necessary at all. You just need to mix until smooth.
  4. If at this stage you want to add additional ingredients, such as we indicated above, you can do so in the following ways. To obtain a delicate and more or less uniform texture, grate everything using a coarse grater. This can be cheese, sausage, sausages, prepared meat. If you want to add onions and garlic, it is best to simmer them a little in a frying pan with a minimum amount of vegetable oil or butter. You can also sprinkle grated hard cheese on top of the omelette. Then the crust may brown a little earlier during baking. To do this, cover the omelette with foil before placing it in the oven and then remove it 10 minutes before the end of cooking.
  5. Now you need to grease the existing mold with butter. Lubricate well, on all sides and all the way to the end of all edges.
  6. Pour into the entire prepared mass.
  7. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  8. Place the omelette in a well-heated oven for 30 minutes. Do not open while baking. We need it to rise well and be fluffy.
  9. If the pan you are using is lower than mine (10 centimeters), then the baking time in the oven will need to be reduced by 5-10 minutes. Here you look at the situation. The main thing is that the crust in the omelette does not brown too much.
  10. When the time is up, let it sit for another 5 minutes. Then remove from the oven. Cut into portions directly in the mold and transfer to a plate.
  11. If you wish, you can decorate with herbs or grated cheese.

Bon appetit!

Many people want to learn how to cook a fluffy omelette in the oven, but the problem arises due to the lack of a sensible and proven recipe. Since at one time I personally worked hard to find such a recipe, as time came, I decided that it would not be fair to hide such a find from my readers. As in most cases, there are several fundamental factors that affect not only the taste, but also the aesthetic features of the finished omelet. I will try to mention each one in order to avoid all possible questions that you may encounter.

Firstly, it is worth noting that, despite all the abundance of recipes, there is a standard set of products that you will always need to prepare this dish. The list necessarily includes chicken eggs (homemade is best), milk, salt and a little pepper to taste. With this set of ingredients you can make a very ordinary omelet, which is perfect for breakfast. As you can see, all products are accessible, and even a child can mix them until the egg mass is homogeneous.

Some housewives, after many years of cooking, have become fed up with such simplicity, so they try to diversify the taste of their favorite dish with various additional products. At the moment of beating the eggs with a whisk, do not add anything to the resulting mass. Most often you can find omelet recipes, which, in addition to the main ingredients, include vegetables, meat, pickles, mushrooms, fish, cheese, etc. Lovers of fresh herbs can add finely chopped dill or parsley. This list is endless and depends on the culinary preferences of both the housewife herself and her family members.

Secondly, when it comes to a fluffy omelette, you should immediately understand that it will only turn out this way in the oven. There are, of course, several options for cooking an omelet in a frying pan under tightly closed lid, but this is rather an exception to the rule. The budget and accessibility of this dish is such that a fluffy omelette in the oven can be safely added to the list of everyday dishes, since it will not put a dent in your wallet.

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 half glass of milk
  • Black pepper to taste

Finally, as always, I want to give a few tips so that your fluffy omelette in the oven turns out delicious the first time:
  • To prepare an omelet, use only fresh eggs, since a fresh dish for breakfast will set the tone for the whole day;
  • If you have the opportunity, prepare an omelet from homemade eggs and milk. This way it will turn out even more tasty and appetizing;
  • If necessary, try experimenting with additional products. Omelettes with mushrooms, cheese, chicken fillet, vegetables, herbs, etc. are very tasty;
  • If your family has connoisseurs of cheeses, in particular Parmesan, then first grate it on a fine grater and sprinkle it on the omelette before serving.

Options for preparing egg dishes

We are all accustomed to the fact that an omelette is great option for a quick breakfast or light dinner. It is not difficult to prepare such a dish. The simplest products and very little time are required. Usually the omelette is fried in a frying pan for 10-15 minutes under a closed lid. It turns out quite tasty, but there is one unpleasant moment. During the frying process, the mixture in the pan gradually rises, and at the very end it sharply settles. This does not spoil the taste of the dish, but appearance not the same anymore. However, there is a way that allows you to change everything. You just need to transfer the cooking process from the stove to the oven. It maintains an equally high temperature on all sides, and the product does not settle even after cooling.

Baking in the oven

To make an omelette in the oven, you will need the following set of ingredients: 4 eggs, a pinch of salt, 200 grams of milk and a piece of butter (to grease the pan).

Prepare an omelette in the oven as follows:

  1. Break all the eggs one by one into a deep bowl, add salt and beat well. But don’t be overzealous and turn the mixture into thick foam.
  2. Pour in the milk and shake the resulting mixture thoroughly.
  3. Grease a baking pan with butter.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the mold and place in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees.
  5. The baking process will take no more than 30 minutes. Readiness can be determined by the golden brown crust on the surface of the omelette. At this stage, one thing must be observed: important rule: Under no circumstances should you open the cabinet door while the omelette is being prepared. This may cause the mixture to instantly collapse due to the temperature difference.
  6. There is no need to leave the finished omelette in the oven. This could harm him.
  7. Now the product needs to be greased with butter on top and carefully transferred to a dish. To do this, remove the hot pan from the oven, cover the top with a wide plate and turn it over sharply. An omelette prepared in this way in the oven turns out fluffy and very tender. It can be served immediately or allowed to cool slightly.

To make the dish airy

A lush omelette is obtained only if you strictly adhere to a certain ratio of ingredients (for 4 eggs - 200 ml of milk, and for 6 eggs - 300 ml). It is also necessary to take into account the fact that during the baking process the mixture first rises very much and then falls a little. Therefore, it is better to take a baking dish with a small diameter, but with high edges. Some housewives believe that additional components may disrupt the consistency finished product. You should not listen to such an opinion. You can bake an excellent fluffy omelette in the oven with the addition of meat products and herbs, as well as sour cream instead of milk. Products you will need: 4 raw eggs, 3 tablespoons of sour cream, salt, 3 sausages, fresh herbs and spices.

The dish is prepared approximately like this:

  1. Break the eggs one at a time into a clean bowl. Add sour cream, spices and salt, and then beat everything together until light foaming appears on the surface.
  2. First boil the sausages and then cut them into slices (or small cubes).
  3. Shredded meat products add to egg mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture into prepared forms, filling each of them only halfway. You can decorate the top with greenery.
  5. Place the molds in the oven, preheating it to 180 degrees.
  6. The baking process will take very little time. In just 25 minutes, the most delicate airy omelette will be ready.
