Oxygen concentrator for home use - we treat complex diseases at home. Oxygen concentrator from China, purchase history and short review Oxygen breathing apparatus at home: who needs it and why

This homemade generator oxygen may be needed only occasionally: during the treatment and adaptation of fish after prolonged transportation. However, it doesn't hurt to always have it on hand.

Why might an aquarist need an oxygen generator?

To provide emergency assistance fish. Fish can experience life-threatening oxygen deprivation in a number of cases:

Such fish can be helped by raising the oxygen content dissolved in water to a level close to maximum saturation. And this can be done by aerating the water with pure oxygen. Oxygen can be easily obtained from pharmacy 3% hydrogen peroxide, like this:

Photo 1. We will need a medicine bottle that is closed with two caps: an internal plug and an external screw cap. Air duct and non-galvanized screws (non-galvanized ones rust). A fairly large bottle is shown here (100 ml), as I was making an oxygen generator for a 250 liter aquarium. For a small aquarium, you can use a smaller bottle (30 ml). The inscription “iodinol” has nothing to do with the matter; any cleanly washed bottle will do. It’s just that I have a lot of such bubbles.

Photo 2. We pierce a small hole in the plug cap, and in the screw cap we need to make a hole for the air duct. This can be done with the pointed jaw of scissors, wielding it like an awl.

Photo 3. We insert an air duct into the hole in the screw cap and make a muff from chewing gum And...

Photo 4. ... and seal the hole for the tube.

Photo 5. Pour into a bottle, while fill it no more than two-thirds. We put in the catalyst (screw), close it with both lids and install it in the aquarium. Like this:
Video 1. The air tube must be inserted deeper into the sponge along the water intake tube of the pump. In the vial, peroxide decomposes into oxygen and water. Oxygen is supplied through a tube to the water intake of the pump and released into the aquarium along with a stream of water in the form of very small bubbles. At the same time, the water in the aquarium is quickly saturated with oxygen.

Video is not visible, most likely your browser does not support HTML5 video

The amount of oxygen produced depends on the size of the contact surface of the peroxide with the catalyst. Simply put, the more cloves, the more oxygen there will be, but the faster the peroxide supply will be used up. If we want to saturate the water with oxygen as quickly as possible, then we use a large catalyst, like those screws shown in photo 1. For a long-term moderate fall, you only need a small stump from such a screw.
Security measures: When operating such a generator, you must be sure that the hole in the plug cap is not clogged and oxygen passes through it freely.
This oxygen generator easily produces a device for long-term dosed supply of hydrogen peroxide to an aquarium, which can partly replace the famous one. To do this, you need to remove the air tube and secure the bubble in the aquarium with the neck down. The oxygen formed in the bubble will squeeze the peroxide through the small hole in the plug cap, and screw cap will ensure that the plug does not accidentally fall out and the entire supply of peroxide does not end up in the aquarium at once. The outlet hole in the plug cap must be protected from clogging a piece of easily permeable foam rubber. If the peroxide cannot pass through it into the aquarium, the bubble may explode! That is why hydrogen peroxide stronger than 3% cannot be poured into a bottle and care must be taken when working with this device.

Stuffy in the city? I can not breathe? Messenger K helps you solve the problem of oxygen starvation.

Oxygen at home. It's simple and easy to do.

And also super mega-creative! Connect your children and loved ones. It's exciting!

And breathe deeply.

Tested on personal experience- washing. It works! Just finished the experiments!

So. Step one. Let's go to the pharmacy - any one! - and buy there HYDROPERITE in tablets (in St. Petersburg it costs 18 rubles per pack of 10 tablets) and potassium permanganate in crystals (50 rubles).

Step two. Take a glass half-liter jar. Fill it three-quarters full with warm water.

Step three. Take two tablets of hydroperite. Knead to dissolve faster (I wrapped the tablets in a napkin and tapped them a little with a hammer). Try not to get your hands dirty with hydroperite. Not the most useful thing in the world. Pour the powder into a jar and stir. At this stage... nothing happens.

Step four. Take a teaspoon and pour 5-10 potassium permanganate crystals into it. Carefully pour these crystals into a jar with diluted hydroperite and stir... it's begun!

Well, it's a joke, of course. There will be no fountain. But the water will begin to bubble, as if a Jacuzzi was turned on inside. This is oxygen! Catch him with your nose!

The chemical reaction releases pure O2. Do not overdo it. They say that if you actively breathe pure oxygen, euphoria begins. Although, who the hell knows, maybe this is wonderful?

A couple of sips of oxygen - and let the rest dissolve in the atmosphere of the room. You will feel happier and more fun!

And when the bubbling in the jar ends, the water will turn brown with many small sediment crystals floating inside. Try to stir again - the reaction will continue. And when it ends completely, and all the oxygen comes out...

Add more hydroperite! And then potassium permanganate!

Yes, it's very cheap and effective method get oxygen at home. Make your own oxygen!

Be careful:
1. Do not hold the can in your hands: heat and hissing are generated during the reaction.
2. Don't overdo it with ingredients. Experiment, but without overdose.
3. Don't drink this water. It won't bring you anything good, I guarantee it.

4. The vessel in which you dilute all these components and water should not be metal.

5. Hide matches - and hydroperite - from children.

Have fun swimming in oxygen!

Hello brain inventors! In today's project, an electric generator will be created from scratch that converts plain water into fuel.

Step 1: What is a Hydrogen Oxygen Generator

A hydrogen-oxygen generator, similar to this one, uses electricity from a car battery to split water into hydrogen gas and oxygen. (Electricity + 2H20 -> 2H2 + O2). The result is a fuel that is much more powerful than gasoline, and the only emissions released are water!

This is completely clean look fuels, such as solar, wind or water energy, electricity is used only to create gas.

The video shows step by step creation of this generator.

NOTE: Quantity electrical energy required to produce gas exceeds the energy that can ultimately be obtained from the generator. This is NOT an energy generator, but a simple energy converter.

Step 2: Preparing metal blanks for the generator plates

For execution this project we will need parts from of stainless steel and plastic pipe fittings. You can purchase them at your local hardware store.

I used 20 gauge (0.8mm) stainless steel and used a hydraulic hammer to punch the required holes in the top and bottom of the plates. As a result, we received 12 plates measuring 7.6 x 15.2 cm, 4 plates 3.8 x 15.2 cm, and 3 connecting strips 2.54 cm, 4 - 1.27 cm and 3 - 0.62 cm. A belt sander is used to smooth out the jagged edges around the holes.

Step 3: Increasing the contact plane of the plates

Next I used sandpaper with 100 grit for sanding the plates diagonally. An "X" symbol can be seen on both sides of the plate. This increases the contact area of the plate and promotes the formation of more gas.

Step 4: Configure Plate Assemblies

The plates are connected in such a way that the 2 inner plates are connected to one electrical terminal and the 2 upper plates are connected to the other terminal. Plastic rods, plastic washers and stainless steel nuts help make reliable electrical connections.

The generator plates are assembled in the following order - plate, plastic washers, plate, stainless steel lock nut and so on until all 8 plates are connected.

Step-by-step video instructions for assembling the generator plate are shown.

After collecting the plates, you need to install a 10.1 cm plastic plug, which is attached to the top using several stainless steel screws.

Step 5: Making the generator housing

The housing consists of two 10.1 cm plastic adapters, with an inverted 10.1 cm plug at the bottom. The base of the body is an acrylic or plastic pipe with a diameter of 10.1 cm. The generator plates and the cover are screwed into top part.

The water mixer is made in the same manner from an acrylic pipe with a diameter of 5 cm. It must be attached to the side of the device.

Step 6: Making Faucet Clamps

Clips can be made from leftover acrylic or plastic pipe, and subsequently glue it with glue to the side of the body.

To make the clamps, I cut 1.9 cm blanks from a 5 cm diameter pipe and cut off the top 0.8 cm to form the grip. Next, I attached the resulting blank to an acrylic rod and attached it to the side of the generator.

Step 7: Install the Check Valve

A transparent tube and a one-way check valve are installed in the upper elbow. Make sure that the valve releases gas and does not flow back into the device.

Step 8: Electrolyte Preparation

To prepare the electrolyte, use distilled water and 2-4 tablespoons of KOH (potassium hydroxide). Salt or baking soda are also suitable, but over time they can cause contamination and corrosion of the plates.

I mixed potassium hydroxide flakes in water, then used a filter to feed the solution into the generator housing (after cleaning thoroughly).

Note: Potassium hydroxide is caustic and may therefore cause skin burns. Avoid direct contact!

Step 9: Finishing Touches

I tested the device using a 12V car battery and jumper cables. The resulting gas is collected in a small water bottle and ignited with a flame.

At a voltage of 12 volts we get 1.5 liters of gas per minute. If you connect 2 batteries in series, then at a voltage of 24 volts we have an output of 5 liters of gas per minute. This is enough to fill a 4 gallon (15 liter) container in 38 seconds!

Note: At higher voltages, more current is present in the system, resulting in significant heating. In this case, there is a danger of the plastic housing melting due to exposure to high temperatures.

Step 10: How much power is under the hood of our generator?

This system is not intended for use on vehicle, but simply demonstrates the process of electrolysis of water and formation of gas.

Watch the video showing experiments on gas ignition, as well as some useful characteristics generator

After a couple of months, I decided to write the promised review of an oxygen concentrator from China. More precisely, the history of the purchase of a rather complex and not entirely cheap product. In the end, I was lucky, the device works, was not damaged during delivery, and the details for those who are interested are under the cut. There is a piece of video with the ignition of a smoldering splinter.
An oxygen concentrator is a device for separating oxygen molecules from the surrounding atmosphere, concentrating them and releasing them in the form of a stream of pure oxygen.
Used in oxygen therapy - the patient is given oxygen in a higher concentration than in atmospheric air. It is used as an alternative to compressed oxygen, as it is safer and less expensive per liter. The principle of operation of an oxygen concentrator is as follows: it consists of two cylinders, room air passes through a network of zeolite balls located inside the cylinders - a “molecular sieve”, which retains nitrogen molecules and allows oxygen molecules to pass through. As a result, the oxygen concentrator produces a 95% oxygen mixture.
The rate of oxygen supply in the most popular models averages from 3 to 5 liters per minute, however, since 2000, models with throughput at 10 l/min, while maintaining their weight and size properties. At the beginning of the 21st century, many manufacturers began to produce portable concentrators; their speed is usually no more than 2 l/min, but there are also rarer models with a speed of up to 6 l/min.

The background to the purchase is as follows. After two complex abdominal operations, I had to greatly limit my physical activity. load, to avoid hernias and other complications. Plus, long bed rest and predisposition led to plus 30 kg of body weight, shortness of breath, fatigue, etc. Of course, I could go to work out at the stadium, since it is nearby; in the mornings I walked in circles for 3-4 km until it was closed and dug up for the construction of a good paid sports complex in the future. It was decided to buy an elliptical cardio machine, and since it was only possible to place it in the hallway, for aerobic fat burning, and in order not to suffocate during exercise, I ordered this oxygen concentrator from China with Ali.
Why from there? At that time, the dollar exchange rate was acceptable (end of October 2014), there were options on eBay at similar prices, but the functions did not suit me, offline at that time similar devices from Armed were offered for 8,000-10,000 rubles more expensive, European, from Germany 2-3 prices compared to similar Chinese ones.
I found a seller on Ali, looked at device modifications, prices, reviews. I was confused by DHL express delivery. I called their office in the region. center, asked how everything would be cleared through customs and found out that everything was very complicated, since an individual would need to pay a duty, and if the device was recognized as medical, it would not be allowed through. And they will take me away at night in an unknown direction and shoot me without trial!
I didn’t need such “hockey”, so I wrote a letter to the seller, explaining the situation that I wanted EMS courier, but I don’t want DHL to rip them off. He also transparently hinted at a discount (they sometimes have promotions. In this moment the price is $490, $55 lower!), but whatever, he just said: throw off $30. The seller responded immediately after I clicked "send". He told me how they produce concentrators themselves, monitor the quality, sell them themselves, and therefore they can handle EMS delivery and they will adjust the price after ordering to -$30. Persuaded, in general. The order has been made. Price adjusted -$30. Order has been paid.
It would seem that the courier should arrive quickly, the track received EA032752514CN
, I started tracking it, but after 10 days someone received a parcel in China using this number. I'm going to the seller, why did you hit me? He answered me: relax, on to one more track! EA032752430CN

Well, finally I have the package. When unpacking, I took photos with my smartphone, the photos were accidentally deleted (((. But please take my word for it, there are a lot of high-quality photos on the product page and everything is described in detail, starting from the packaging, it is double with a foam padding, on the outer box it says “who and “What,” it is also factory-made, the interior is colorful with a handle, and inside the device is still in a foam casing.

The set is one to one as stated in the photo.

To get the required dose of oxygen, you often have to run to doctors asking for directions

Oxygen breathing apparatus at home: who needs it and why?

Such a device is necessary for people suffering from the following ailments:

  • bronchial asthma;
  • chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD);
  • cystic fibrosis;
  • cardiac or respiratory failure;
  • pulmonary hypertension.

It is these diseases that prevent the normal saturation of the cells of the human body with oxygen. But even if there are no pulmonary or cardiovascular diseases, a home oxygen concentrator may be useful. In the conditions of gas pollution in modern large cities, a person begins to suffer from oxygen starvation. It is not clearly felt, but the state of the body can be judged by frequent headaches, chronic fatigue, irritability. In this case, oxygen therapy will not hurt. She will become the source Have a good mood and a surge of strength. An oxygen installation for your home can help with one more thing: it can be used to prepare delicious and healthy cocktails, but more on that later. First, let's figure out what effect oxygen has on humans.

But such concentrators, in addition to inhalations, can also provide the most useful oxygen cocktails

Oxygen produced by the concentrator: effects on body cells

The oxygen produced by the device helps with recovery after surgery and has a tonic effect on the body. It is especially useful for a growing child's body. Doctors say that oxygen cocktails and inhalations are recommended for everyone without exception. There is no debate about the benefits and harms of oxygen concentrators - there is no information about the negative effects.

Oxygen generator for home: device and principle of operation

The design of the device can be called quite simple. These are two cylinders filled with zeolite beads. The principle of operation of an oxygen concentrator is as follows: zeolite separates nitrogen molecules, allowing only pure oxygen to pass into the diffuser. In the device generated gas mixture contains about 95% oxygen, which is more than enough to saturate the body's cells. In the circuit of such a device, it is necessary to have a compressor that forces air through the cylinders, a dryer, air filters and a humidifier. If you wish, you can assemble an oxygen concentrator with your own hands. You just need to find the zeolite that will fill the cylinders.

Such devices operate from batteries or from the network. The separated nitrogen is released back by the device, but its amount is so negligible that it cannot cause harm to others.

Having figured out how an oxygen concentrator works, let's try to consider Various types similar devices and their properties.

Types of oxygen concentrators and their inherent properties

Such devices can be divided into 3 types, each of which has certain properties. Let's list them:

  1. Universal or therapeutic oxygen concentrator.
  2. Devices for home use.
  3. Portable devices.

Let’s try to understand in detail what features each type has and how they differ from each other.

Medical (therapeutic) oxygen concentrators: purpose, scope of application

Medical devices are quite diverse - for providing first aid in emergencies, long-term pulmonary therapy. There are also devices for permanent installation. These are installed in therapeutic departments of hospitals and produce 5-10 liters of oxygen per minute.

Portable oxygen concentrators: what are they and who are they using?

Ambulances are equipped with portable devices to enable them to respond in emergency situations. Also, such devices are used by people who are indicated for daily inhalations, but at the same time the person conducts active image life - goes to the forest, to the lake, to the river. In this case, a portable generator of much-needed gas will be simply irreplaceable. Even though it produces less than 5 liters of oxygen mixture per minute, in pulse mode this figure can increase to 6-7 liters.

GOOD TO KNOW!

Pulse – mode of release of oxygen accumulated in a special reservoir, which is released by the device when inhaling.

A universal device: how does it differ from a medical one?

Medium power device (productivity – 5-6l/min). Suitable for both home and therapeutic use. Used in fitness centers and beauty salons.

Oxygen concentrator for home use: equipment features

The lowest power of the listed types. Productivity – only 1-3l/min. Suitable for inhalation at home, preparing oxygen cocktails. They are quite compact, the design is modern and aesthetic, and they are quite convenient to use.

Which oxygen concentrator is best to buy for home use: expert advice

When choosing a similar device and thinking about which oxygen concentrator is better for home use, you should pay attention to its performance and saturation of the gas flow. It must contain at least 70% oxygen. Otherwise, he is worthless.

The next parameter you should pay attention to is the size of the device. This is important for its correct placement. There is a rule - the concentrator cannot be placed at a distance closer than 30 cm from walls and heating appliances.

Next, let's pay attention to noise. Low-power devices are practically inaudible during operation, but those with a higher power rating are not so convenient in this regard. In any case, you should not purchase a device with a noise level above 35 dB.

Concentrators can be very compact - they are convenient to transport in a car

Oxygen cocktail at home: what is it for and how to make it

An oxygen cocktail can be consumed daily for preventive purposes. It is very suitable for children who find it difficult to sit still during inhalations. The cocktail has almost the same effect on the body's cells. If the concentrator has a function for preparing it, the process will not be difficult at all. Any juice without pulp is poured into the glass up to half, after which the tube of the device is lowered into it. The device turns on, and you don’t need to do anything else: after 3-4 minutes, the oxygenated cocktail is ready.

Models of concentrators that are the best according to the editors of the site

Having read many reviews on the Internet, having considered specifications many models, the site's editorial team selected several best models. This should help our dear reader to do right choice without unnecessary hassle and hours of scouring the Internet in search of a good device.

"ARMED 7F-3L" - an oxygen concentrator with good functionality

"ARMED 7F-3L" is recommended not only for home use, but also for use in kindergarten, school, fitness center. The productivity of the device is up to 3 l/min at an oxygen concentration of 93%. Device dimensions 480 × 280 × 560 mm, weight – 26.5 kg. Suitable for preparing oxygen cocktails. Here are some of its characteristics.

A little noisy, but overall a pretty decent unit. Here's what netizens say about him.

ARMED 7F-3L

"OXYbar Auto" - a product from the very famous brand "Atmung"

Very quiet, light and compact device. The kit includes an adapter for connecting in a car, which is very important for many long trips. Weight only 5.2 kg. Today there are no such lightweight devices on the Russian market. The manufacturer claims that the device can operate around the clock. The maximum productivity of the unit is 6 l/min, but the oxygen concentration will be only 30%, which is not encouraging. With a performance setting of 1 l/min, the concentration is acceptable - 90%. Let's look at the characteristics of the device.

Thus, the device can be called not only the smallest, but also one of the quietest.

Atmung OXYbar Auto

"BITMOS OXY-6000" is a device with fairly good performance

"BITMOS OXY-6000" is the brainchild German manufacturers. And, like any German technology, it is made of very high quality. It has a very convenient shape - it is a “suitcase” on wheels, which is very convenient with a weight of 19.8 kg. The dimensions of the device are 520 × 203 × 535 mm. There is a function for preparing oxygen phyto-cocktails. When the temperature rises, the flow rate drops, the oxygen concentration drops, the network turns off and microprocessor errors, the device sounds an audible signal. At a productivity of 1-4 l/min, the oxygen concentration reaches 95%. What about the characteristics?

HELPFUL INFORMATION!

The cost of such devices is quite high and not everyone can afford it. That is why today you can find many companies offering oxygen concentrators for home use for rent at very reasonable prices.

The most famous concentrator manufacturers present on the Russian market

The most famous brands on the Russian market are: “Bitmos”, “Armed”, “Atmung”. It might be possible to consider Russian manufacturer oxygen concentrators - “Mediaflex”, however, there are no owner reviews about it on major Internet resources, which means we won’t be able to really evaluate it. Let's try to look at the other three manufacturers with their best models.

Rules for using an oxygen breathing apparatus at home

The rules for using the device are quite simple. Let's try to consider the algorithm of actions.

  1. Pour water into the humidifier (special container). Where it is located can be easily found out from the technical passport.
  2. We attach a special mask or nasal cannulas to the device.
  3. Turn on the device and put on the mask.
  4. We regulate the oxygen flow according to the doctor’s indications.
  5. We breathe for the required time.

HELPFUL INFORMATION!

If for the prevention of diseases a duration of inhalations of 20-30 minutes per day is sufficient, then in severe forms of COPD patients should be kept in oxygen mask up to 15 hours a day.

Advantages of a concentrator over an oxygen breathing tank

In fact, the can and the concentrator perform one function - replenishing the lack of oxygen. However, the canister has one very big drawback - the limited gas mixture, while the concentrator is capable of performing more fundamental treatment tasks. However, we must pay tribute to the spray can - sometimes, in certain situations, it can be a great help, and its compactness allows you to take it with you anywhere.

An oxygen cartridge will not replace a concentrator, but it can help out in an emergency

Oxygen concentrator for home use: reviews from owners

You may get the impression that all reviews of oxygen concentrators for home use from well-known brands are ideal. It’s up to you to believe them or not.

Oxymed F7-1

The problem is that the cost of devices of this type is quite high. This is precisely the reason for so few reviews about oxygen concentrators on the Internet.

Finally

Oxygen concentrators are equipment that will be useful to everyone. Of course, not everyone can afford such devices. Let's hope that the price situation will change in the near future better side. In the meantime, you can try to find zeolite on sale and try to make this miracle of technology, which bestows youth and health, with your own hands. This will obviously be cheaper than purchasing a factory-produced unit.

We hope that the information was presented in the article clearly and intelligibly. If after reading you still have any questions, the editorial team website will be happy to answer them. All you have to do is state the essence of the issue in the discussion below. Do you have an oxygen concentrator at home and do you actively use it? Write about this in the discussions, not forgetting to indicate the brand and model of the device. This information will be very useful to those who are already thinking about such a purchase. Write, ask, communicate, share your opinion - after all, that’s what discussions exist for. And finally, as has already become customary, we suggest watching a short but quite fascinating and informative video on today’s topic.
