The Kas-pe-rov-skaya miraculous icon of God Ma-te-ri is the great holy city of Her -so-na and Odessa, where she stays about six months a year. The days of her arrival in Odessa (October 1st), and her departure - on the fourth day of Easter - became very mi churches-n-mi-tour-same-stva-mi.

The view of this small icon, on-pi-san-noy oil-la-ny-mi-kra-mi on canvas, on-kle-en-nom on the board, made - makes a strong impression. Vla-dy-chi-tsa and Bo-gom-la-de-nets are depicted only on the upper part of the chest. The Mother of God, with sorrowful eyes on her face, comes to the la-ni-that of His Infant Christ, hold -the head of His both-hands. Clinging close to the Most Pure One, the Young One with his left hand grabbed the cloth covering the head of Pris-but-de-you, in right-handed He holds the scroll.

According to the story, this icon was brought to Russia from Transylvania by Ser-bom at the end of the 16th century, -that one lived in the Ol-vi-o-Polye district of the Kher-son province. Moving from birth to children, in 1809 the holy image became the property of the locality of Kas-pe- ro-voy, pro-living in Ol-vi-o-Polye district, on the estate of No-vo-Iva-nov-ke. Iko-la was old, and the painting was so dark that it was difficult to make out the features of God Ma-te- ri and Spa-si-te-la.

In February 1840, during a long period of time, Kas-pe-ro-va prayed for a long time before the icon. While she was praying, she noticed that Bo-go-ma-te-ri and Mla-den-tsa were about the light-le-li, and Iko-na chu -in a de-formed manner.

From the holy image of the Most Holy Bo-go-ro-di-tsy, who lived in the house of the place, and subsequently During the event, many miracles and researches took place, based on the research of which the icon was recognized The holy si-no-house of the miraculous. Many pa-lom-niks began to flock to her, and in 1844 Kas-pe-ro-va, considering it impossible keep the miraculously created image in his home, take the icon to the local St. Nicholas Church.

In 1852, the life of Kher-so-na is-ho-da-tai-stvo-va-li-resolution every year on the holiday Voz-ne-se- of the Lord, in a procession of the cross, bring to them a miraculously created icon. And since 1853, the residents of the city of Ni-ko-la-e-va have the opportunity from July 1 to August 1 to get closer - to the Kas-per-rovskaya icon of God Ma-te-ri in their temples.

During the Se-va-sto-Polish war of 1853-1855. Odessa, besieged by an enemy fleet, has endured difficult times. In August 1854, the holy miraculous procession of the cross was solemnly but re-not held in the city Federal cathedral, where it remained until May 20, 1856.

In 1855, on the feast of the Protection of the Most Holy God, after Odessa, with great consternation the believers from the mo-le-ben served in front of the Kas-per-rovskaya icon, the enemy retreated, the city remained unharmed. According to the general belief, Odessa was a spa-se-on-bla-go-y-yes-wonderful creation. It was decided “for the teaching of posterity, to make this event un-conventional, and the 1st day of October is a holiday sacred to anyone.” -ne-shim.”

The village of Kas-pe-rovka continues to be considered the main place of the miraculously created icon, but I don't stay there for long. For the rest of the Passover week and the coming weeks, the icons go to Kas-per-rovka, on the holiday of Voz-ne-se- Niya is transferred to Kher-son, where she stays until June 29, and then until August 1 she is allowed to live. te-li Ni-ko-la-e-va. Kasperovskaya miraculous icon The Mother of God is a great shrine in the cities of Kherson and Odessa, where she remains for about six months a year. The days of her bringing to Odessa (October 1) and her departure - on the fourth day of Easter - became great church celebrations.

The view of this small icon written oil paints on canvas glued to a board makes a strong impression. The Lady and the Infant God are depicted only in top part breasts The Mother of God, with sorrowful eyes on her face, presses the Infant Christ to Her cheek, holding His head with both hands. Clinging to the Most Pure One, the Child with his left hand grabbed the cloth covering the head of the Ever-Virgin, in his right He holds a scroll.

According to legend, this icon was brought to Russia from Transylvania at the end of the 16th century by a Serb who settled in the Olviopol district of the Kherson province. Passing from parents to children, in 1809 the holy image became the property of the landowner Kasperova, who lived in the Olviopol district, on the Novo-Ivanovka estate. The icon was dilapidated, and the painting was so dark that it was difficult to make out the features of the Mother of God and the Savior.

In February 1840, experiencing great sorrows, Kasperova prayed for a long time in front of the icon one night. During prayer, she noticed that the faces of the Mother of God and the Child brightened, and the icon miraculously updated.

From the holy image Holy Mother of God, which was located in the house of the landowner, many miracles and healings subsequently occurred, after the study of which the icon was recognized by the Holy Synod as miraculous. Many pilgrims began to constantly flock to her, and in 1844 Kasperova, considering it impossible to keep the miraculous image in her home, took the icon to the local St. Nicholas Church.

In 1852, the residents of Kherson petitioned for permission to bring the miraculous icon to them every year on the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord in a religious procession. And since 1853, residents of Nikolaev were able to worship the Kasperov Icon of the Mother of God in their churches from July 1 to August 1.

During the Sevastopol War of 1853–1855. Odessa, besieged by an enemy fleet, was going through difficult times. In August 1854, the holy miraculous image was solemnly transferred in a procession to the city cathedral, where it remained until May 20, 1856.

In 1855, on the Feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, after the Odessa Archbishop Innocent served a prayer service in front of the Kasperov Icon with a large crowd of believers, the enemy retreated and the city remained unharmed. According to the general belief, Odessa was saved by the grace of a miraculous image. It was decided “as a lesson to posterity, to make this event unforgettable, and the day of October 1st to be the most sacred holiday.”

The village of Kasperovka continues to be considered the main location of the miraculous icon, but the image is not there for long. Every year by October 1, it is brought from Kasperovka to Odessa and remains there until Wednesday Easter week, located at the southern wall of the front of the cathedral. For the rest of Easter week and the coming weeks, the icon is in Kasperovka, on the Feast of the Ascension it is transferred to Kherson, where it remains until June 29, and then until August 1, the residents of Nikolaev worship it. At all places where the icon is located, an akathist is read in front of it on Fridays.

Kasperovskaya Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Kasperovskaya Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Prayer.

The Kasperovskaya Icon of the Mother of God is one of the revered miraculous iconographic images of the Mother of God. The icon is located in Odessa in the Assumption Cathedral. The days of memory of the icon are June 29 according to the old style (July 12 according to the new one), October 1 according to the old style (October 14 according to the new one) and on Wednesday of Bright Week.

Kasperov's image of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a small icon painted on canvas, which is pasted on a board. This miraculous icon is similar to the Korsun Icon of the Mother of God. These images are practically indistinguishable.

The Icon of the Mother of God was brought to Russia at the end of the sixteenth century by Serbs from Transylvania, who were invited by the Russian government. Her ancestor settled in the Kherson province, Olviopol district, in the 18th century. The icon was passed down by inheritance and in 1809 Juliania Ionovna Kasperova, a Russian landowner from the Kasperovo estate (now Kizomys, Belozersky district, Kherson region) acquired it, and the icon was already very dilapidated.

In 1840, the landowner prayed in front of the Kasperovskaya icon and with tears asked the Mother of God to help her in her troubles. And then she saw that the face of the Mother of God brightened and the icon itself was renewed.

In the same year, only in the spring, the noblewoman Vera Burleeva, who lived in a neighboring village and had paralysis of her left arm, heard the voice of the Mother of God, who directed her to the neighboring village of Kasperovo to pray to the icon. After Burleeva arrived at the Kasperovs’ house and prayed to the icon, she cured her illness.

Three years later, in 1843, three more healings occurred. A 13-year-old boy from Kherson had epileptic fits, which disappeared after praying to the icon. Maria Smeshnaya, a tradeswoman from Ochakovo, who was paralyzed, did not control half of her body and could not move independently, was also cured. The possessed peasant woman Paraskovya Semipudova regained her sanity after she prayed in front of the icon and was anointed with oil from the lamp.

At the end of January 1844, the icon was transferred to a rural church and even more healings began to occur and people recognized the icon as miraculous. After which many pilgrims from Nikolaev, Odessa, Ochakov, Kherson and other places began to flock to the Kasperov Icon of the Mother of God.

Since 1852, on the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, at the request of the townspeople from Kherson, the Kasperov Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary was brought to the city cathedral.

The icon helped defend Odessa during Crimean War during the blockade of the city of Odessa by the British fleet.

Now the miraculous icon is in the Assumption Cathedral (Cathedral) in Odessa.

The ancient miraculous Kasperovskaya Icon of the Mother of God first appeared in the Kherson province, after it was brought by an unknown Serb from Transylvania at the end of the 16th century. Having become a family heirloom, this shrine ended up in the family of landowner Kasperova in 1809. In difficult times, the landowner prayed fervently in front of this image and began to notice that the image had acquired the new kind, and the faces of the Mother of God and the Child of God brightened. Over time, many other grace-filled miracles began to occur from the Christian icon of the Most Holy Theotokos of Kasperovskaya. Believers from all nearby cities began to flock to this strong icon with your hopes and prayers.

Nowadays, through prayers to this shrine, Christians receive not only healing from serious illnesses, but also help in everyday matters. Orthodox shops, icon-painting workshops, and online stores present to believers their iconographic incarnations in icons embroidered with beads, amber icons, works using gold stamping and silk-screen printing. Christians celebrate the celebration of the Kasper Icon of the Mother of God July 29, the day the image was updated in 1840.

The meaning of the icon of the Mother of God Kasperovskaya

For Orthodox Christians, the significance of the icon of the Mother of God of Kasperovskaya was very great in old times, and remains the main thing today. During the war of 1853-1855, the city of Odessa was protected from the invasion of invaders by prayers to this strong icon. At that difficult time, the shrine was brought to the city with a religious procession, and it remained untouched. After a number of investigations into incredible miracles from this powerful image, the Holy Synod recognized the Orthodox shrine as a miraculous image, famous for a whole string of miracles. Great importance The holy icon of the Mother of God of Kasperovskaya also played for the residents of the village of Kasperovka themselves, who consider this great icon to be their locally revered shrine.

Every year, it is brought from Kasperovka to Odessa, on Ascension Day - to Kherson, on August 1 - to Nikolaev. On permanent place the icon stays for only about four months; the rest of the time she travels around southern cities Ukraine, giving ordinary believers the opportunity to experience all its boundless grace. In the churches where the venerable icon of the Mother of God of Kasperovskaya resides, solemn services are held and an akathist is read before it on Fridays.

The Kasperovskaya Icon of the Mother of God is painted in oil paints on canvas glued to wood. The Mother of God is depicted with the Eternal Child on her left hand, who has right hand- scroll.

According to the church, the image of this icon heals both mental and physical ailments of those praying.

Kasperovskaya Icon of the Mother of God

The miraculous icon of the Mother of God of Kasperovskaya was transferred to one of the villages of the Olviopol district of the Kherson province from Transylvania by a certain Serb at the end of the 16th century. Passing on as a family heirloom from parents to children, this icon ended up in the hands of landowner Kasperova in 1809. In February 1840, a landowner, who was beset by misfortunes one after another, prayed at the icon for a long time at night and suddenly noticed that the old and dilapidated image became as good as new, and the faces of the Mother of God and the Savior brightened. Soon, one after another, healings and many other grace-filled miracles began to occur from the icon. The suffering and needy began to flock to her from all the volosts.

Kasperovskaya Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary during the war of 1853 - 1855, she defended the city of Odessa from the invasion of enemy troops. In memory of this in the Holy Dormition cathedral every Friday at 7.00 am an akathist singing is performed before the Miraculous Icon. It is headed by the ruling bishop of the Odessa Metropolis in the co-service of the city clergy in front of a huge crowd of pilgrims.

Under Archbishop Innokenty (Borisov), it was decided “to make this event unforgettable as a lesson to posterity” and to celebrate it on October 1 (14). The icon was recognized by the Holy Synod as miraculous after investigating a number of miracles that glorified it in 1840. Before this, the image was kept by the landowner Juliania Ioannovna Kasperova, who inherited it as a family shrine in 1809.

Prayers before the icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary, called “Kasperovskaya”

Amen.

The prayer is different

O Most Holy Virgin, Mother of the Lord of the highest powers, Queen of heaven and earth, our city and country, our all-powerful Intercessor! Accept this singing of praise and gratitude from us, unworthy Thy servants, and lift up our prayers to the Throne of God, Thy Son, that He may be merciful to our iniquities, and add His grace to those who honor Thy all-honorable name and with faith and love who worship Thy miraculous image. We are dumb, because we are worthy of mercy from Him, unless You propitiate Him for us, Lady, since everything is possible for You from Him. For this reason, we resort to You, as to our undoubted and speedy Intercessor: hear us praying to You, cover us with Your all-powerful protection and ask God, Your Son: for our shepherds zeal and vigilance for souls, for the city ruler wisdom and strength, for judges truth and impartiality , the mentor is reason and humility, the spouse is love and harmony, the child is obedience, the offended is patience, the fear of God is offended, the sorrowful is complacency, the rejoicing is abstinence; for all of us is the spirit of reason and piety, the spirit of mercy and meekness, the spirit of purity and truth. To her, Most Holy Lady, have mercy on Your weak people: gather those who are scattered, guide those who have gone astray to the right path, support old age, educate youth in chastity, raise infants, and look upon us all with the gaze of Your merciful intercession, raise us from the depths of sin and enlighten the eyes of our hearts to in the sight of salvation, be merciful to us here and there, in the land of earthly arrival and at the Last Judgment of Your Son: having ceased in faith and repentance from this life, make our fathers and brothers live in eternal life with the angels and with all the saints. For you are, O Lady, the glory of heaven and the hope of earth. According to God, You are our hope and intercessor of all who flow to You with faith. We therefore pray to You, and to You, as an almighty helper, we commit ourselves and each other and our whole life, now and ever and unto ages of ages.
